Doug’s Pub and Grub — Restaurant in Urbandale

After passing a "Breakfast All Day" sign, we decided to stop in and give it a try. It was around 10am on a Saturday and the place was mostly empty. Service was excellent and fast. We had the standard breakfast (eggs, meat, hash brown and toast) and the Breakfast Totchos (tater tots with egg, cheese, gravy and meat). The Totchos are something we don't see at every place we go, and they were excellent. Most breakfasts are currently at the $12 price point.

They do charge more if you use a credit card, so bring cash and save money.

Since they are a restaurant with bar, kids are welcome when the kitchen is open. There was one family with a child dining while we were there. The place looks nice.

Went on Wednesday for trivia, it was pretty busy, and there was only one person running bar and food. With that said, she did an amazing job running her butt off to make sure everyone got served. 24 oz (I think) mugs of draft Busch light and miller light for 5 bucks, ice cold. Can't go wrong there. The food was very good. The tenderloin and Philly cheese steak special were both really good. Fries and ranch good. We also had the chicken tender app. My only critique on the tenders is they're a little on the small side and you only get 4 for 12 bucks, but the quality was very good and seemed like they are made in house.

Went today. Didn’t realize it had changed owners. My son was in town and wanted to go. The atmosphere was nice. We had a really attentive waitress. We ordered wings and fries. The fries were good, however the portions were small for the price. The wings- they weren’t horrible, however, the drummies looked like miniature chicken pops and weren’t cooked thoroughly. 2 orders of wings , 2 sides of fries (bcuz the wings do not come with fries for $14), and 2 lemonades= $42
