Hy-Vee Market Grille — Restaurant in Urbandale

I have a small group of friends that goes to this marketplace grill every week for their good appetizer and drink specials. Every time you go here, it will be a story of wrong orders, delayed food, i got made fun of relentlessly once for the pink shirt i was wearing by a server and poor service (prepare to remind your waiter you ordered a beer about 3 times). Just last week when I went here I had the wrong beer delivered to me twice, asked 4 times for my shrimp skewer (picture attached of 3 super small burnt shrimp, hilarious excuse for shrimp skewer that was 5 extra dollars), appetizers and beers werent marked at the right price on my bill, AND when i finally got my second beer the waitress said it wasnt discount because i got it at 6:10. The kids eat free in September promotion would be a good deal if my food was edible. My wife and daughters' food was fine (a flatbread, a wrap, and chicken tenders-hard to mess up) however my pork chops with mushroom cream sauce was nasty. The cream sauce had broken down/curdled and the corn succotash was absolutely nasty. One of those things that's so nasty I was in disbelief and let my daughters try it, and they agreed. Looking back it was poor parenting and I hope they don't get sick now. The manager did do the right thing and took it off my bill and offered a replacement, however my appetite was ruined. To top it off the service was poor and ridiculously slow, but that was obviously just our waitress. All of the other tables seemed to be getting good service. I've attached a pic of the garbage...

Service was HORRENDOUS. waited 20 minutes just for an app and there were 5 other tables in there. My husband's burger was cold due to her letting it sit out. Our server sat behind the bar chatting with the other servers, and never bothered to look in our direction. We had to ask the manager for ketchup, to refill our ice tea, and had to ask her to grab our bill. Our server should have been on top of all of that, especially when she only had two other tables. She was very unenthusiastic and acted like she had a million other things she would rather be doing than her job. Luckily the managers were VERY apologetic. But they definitely need to get rid of some of their lazy staff. Until the service improves, I will not...
