McDonald's — Restaurant in Vacaville

This MacDonald's has obviously gotten a facelift or how do you say remodel. I decided that I was going to go in to Macdonld's after I could not locate the Starbucks that was supposed to be in this area of fastfood and gasoline stations. Wow I thought to my self, wow, as I walked over to the main cooridor of Hamburger's, Hotels, and Hot food. This place has really changed since I was a little kid trying to remember what this area looked like and no MacDonald's was not in the neighborhood at that time. As I searched for the Starbucks Siren, I couldnt locate the famous icon logo of Starbucks coffee. I could see all of the other places I knew like Carls Jr, Am PM, and even a Winersnital. And the Golden Arches were promanent in the back ground. As I asked a passerby, "Can you tell me where the Starbucks is located". I said. And he looked at me and mumbled something I couldn't understand but was nice enough to point toward a direction that I wasnt heading. So I said, "Thank you very much". "I will be sure to head in that direction and continue to look for it". As I turned into a parking lot of a famous hotel and started walking towards the front door I realized that I probably wasnt going to find the Starbucks heading in this direction. Right at that moment I though, another passerby came out of the hotels lobby and headed right into my direction. I said, " Excuse me sir, would you be able to tell me where I can find the Starbucks". He said, Well yes and told me to head back in my original diection and the store is right across the street going in that direction." As he pointed, he said, "good luck!" As I turned back around I could not see the Starbucks logo anywhere but I could see the famous golden arches dominating all of the signs across the street. So I decided to go into their store. Excellent cumstomer service fast and courteous cashier who was obviously in training because the store manager was standing right next to the cashier helping her as I ordered my food. The manager was very polite and caring towards the new employee and quickly offered me a seat and told me that she would bring out my food when it was ready. I was delighted and the food came fast and hot and delishous. I didnt expect that Macdonald's for all places would have been so clean and welcoming. Well I know now that at least at this MacDonald they have really raised the bar from what used to be a mediocre dinning expirence. To a breath of fresh air when it comes to eating out post Covid. I’ve attempted to order food here several times both for DoorDash and by myself with their deals app. When I attempted to order food for my DoorDash customer, I was told that they couldn’t complete the order since their ice cream machine wouldn’t work. The DoorDash customer wanted food as well and I was told that they couldn’t complete the order since the employee apparently didn’t receive the order. I checked in with DoorDash to be informed that the order was indeed received and ready to be picked up. They just didn’t want to complete the order. Today, I called to ask when they’re closing. I was informed they’re a 24 hour business. Once informed, my boyfriend and I attempted to order food with our app and were ignored. We attempted to get food and we’re ignored. We could tell that there were people working inside the store upon driving by. The people ignored us so we chose to loon further. We attempted to provide the code for our app order upon returning and were further ignored. We said, “Hello, are you guys open?” And waited for assistance 3 times just to be further ignored. I only wanted two things, a coffee and a caramel macchiato. The line had to wait while the cashier waited for another employee (manager?) to come back from the ladies room to approve another employee's purchase. Though the manager saw the line and the employee at the register calling for her as she came near, the manager diverted her course twice to do other things before coming to do her thing at the register.

The wait after I placed my order was incredibly long. Then as I carried away my small coffee and my medium macchiato, I realized the larger cup felt very light, light even than the smaller.

I opened it and the cup was over 1 inch empty! When compared, I had less beverage altogether in my medium than I had in my plain, small black coffee!

The manager said they only press the size button, the machine stops when it stops. But someone at McD's has decided that is the portion for a medium macchiato! These machines can be calibrated!

I don't know if it's that store's management or owner or corporate, but I won't return to a place that predetermined to so blatantly rip me off, let alone to one with such poor,...
