Man, oh man. I was not prepared for this place.
Muay Thai is tucked away in the corner of the shopping center. The sign was not lit up outside so I didn't even see it at first until the group I was with pointed it out once we parked.
Walking in, it was completely empty except for one booth with a single woman in it. It was Sunday night at 5PM so I definitely wasn't expecting that.
Both of these first two impressions made me a bit weary but I immediately felt a little more at ease once we met our server. She was attentive and friendly. When asking for a recommendation, she gave us an honest answer and let us know the most popular dishes.
We ordered the Pad Thai House Special, Muay Thai Curry, Lemon Chicken, a side of white rice and two Thai teas (don't forget to check in to get a free one!)
The food came out all at once in less then 10 minutes. Everything was absolutely perfect.
The pad Thai was full of flavor and not greasy in the slightest which is my pet peeve when it comes to noodles. The Muay Thai curry that the server recommended was by far my favorite curry I've ever eaten at any Thai restaurant. It has huge chunks of roast duck in it WITH NO BONES IN SIGHT. After realizing that it was boneless I died a bit and started knocking the food back so fast.
The lemon chicken was also cooked perfect. It was an appetizer but we asked for it to come out with our entree since we were in a bit of a rush.
After finishing our food, I couldn't help but feel sad that there weren't more customers. This place definitely deserves more recognition and business.
If you're in the area, definitely check...
Read moreMuay Thai Cuisine in Vacaville is now operating under new management, and the changes are noticeable—in a good way. As locals passing through recently, we were impressed with the consistency in flavor and the renewed energy in service.
The food remains the star, with favorites like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, BBQ pork and Panang curry delivering bold, spicy, and well-balanced flavors. Lunch specials recently added to the menu offer good value and variety—exactly what we hoped for.
Service felt warmer and more attentive than previous visits. The team was welcoming from the moment we walked in, clearly engaged, and knowledgeable when helping us navigate menu changes. Delivery and takeout were still handled carefully—our order arrived on time, hot, and well packaged.
The atmosphere is inviting and clean, and the free parking in front makes it convenient. It’s cozy but not cramped, and even on busier evenings the energy stayed upbeat without feeling stressful.
One area for improvement is adding more weekday lunch options. The new specials are a step in the right direction, but more combo-style or light meal choices would help balance the menu for customers stopping in midday.

Read moreI have been on the quest for a great pad thai in the NoCal area for some time now. Most of the popular places have failed to live up to the hype and expectations. I came here because my friend and I were hungry and saw it by chance as we were leaving Raley's. Upon entering, it smelled like freshly cooked white rice. An all familiar smell to those who grew up Asian, and often is a good sign of any Asian restaurant. We were greeted by a single women behind the kitchen counter. She took our order and we waited less than 15 minutes for a red thai curry and pad thai.
They were the best thai dishes I have had since I left the East coast. The pad thai was beyond flavorful and morphed every single bite. It was complex, deep in various flavor profiles (sweet, sour, savory), and had elements of what I see in amazing cooking- it tastes like someone actually cared about what they were making. This is what thai food would taste like if it was your grandma making it. Homely, humble, and nothing can compare.
The red thai curry hit enough sweetness and had layers of flavor. The amount and variety of vegetables used far exceeded my expectations and what I've seen in literally all of the other restaurants in the surrounding area. I'm shocked as to why they're not booming in business as this is easily one of the best spots in the area.
I have found my culinary white whale and write this review for fellow weary foodies who are bored of under sauced, one note, bland, no dimension carrying pad thai and uninspiring red thai curry. Please, take my word on it- you...
