This review is long but worth the read, promise. I desperately wanted to love this place. Valdosta needs a breakfast joint that isn't waffel house...
I saw the bad reviews were mostly around slow service. Im a patient person so decided to try it anyway when I had the time.
My husband and I arrived and, no surprise, the service was slow. We expected it and weren't upset. The service also felt clunky. My husband asked if the place was new because it felt like they were working out kinks still. But it is not new.
A table that placed their order slightly after us got their order before we did. I'm forgiving so I brushed it off. Then I heard someone at the table say "did you order tater tots?" The answer was no. I had ordered tater tots. Then they brought out another plate of food to the other table and the table told the server it wasn't what they ordered. Turns out it was my husband's order.
Now it's very obvious they gave our order to the other table. The server comes over and awkwardly stands there for awhile. Instead of addressing the issue head on and figuring out a solution she just says "I guess they did a swap around on your orders". The person that got my order devoured it and said it was delicious.
My husband has his food and I don't have my food. At the other table one person has already eaten my omelet and the other is waiting for their food. Not a good situation, but I'm a firm believer that every situation can be resolved. I finally get my food and it is not what I ordered. I tell the server and she goes "Oh they probably gave you his". You already knew that! We were the only two tables in the restaurant.
We...

Clients for the time we were there, had to wait a while just to place their food order.
An item I ordered never came.
Coffee was not hot, even though it suppossely was just made.
Place is very clean, that was not an issue.
Ordered the chicken and waffles. My over easy egg that came with this order was really overcooked. Waffles tasted ok, I ordered this option upon looking an order being delivered to a nearby table, I had a feeling after watching next table's patron taking a small bite (Of the waffles) and leaving most of them untouched. Waffles were served with spicy syrup, the issue I had was that I got very small amount of syrup as it only coated about 1/2 of one of 4 squares. Did not order more on account of how long it was taking.
First issue I had a problem with was that the waitress took too long to take our order, the reason was that she was helping make a couple bloody Mary's (I think). The place is very nice I would say, I just hope they get their act together. I'm guessing more help in the kitchen?? Plate options sounded appetizing and don't think were overpriced either. I really wish them well. And hope it was just this one day. Anyhow thanks for the effort, I kniw you were...
Read moreMy first time trying Jessie's--and my last. My party of three arrived for a weekday lunch, and we were one of only three tables occupied. As others have noted, the staff seemed more interested in preparing takeout orders than attending to the customers inside. Though we go our drinks quickly, we waited a full 10 minutes to give our orders. Then we waited a full 35 minutes receive our orders (by this time, only two tables were occupied). When the order finally arrived, the waitress didn't know if my Buffalo Chicken wrap had buffalo sauce. It didn't , so I had to request some. Then when I opened the wrap to put the sauce on, I discover only two microscopic chunks of chicken in the wrap. It was essentially a vegetable wrap with a chicken garnish. There was no salt or pepper on the table, which we had to request. We were told that they had a new cook, which was supposed to explain the wait. However, a wrap doesn't take over 30 minutes to make, especially make poorly. I was very disappointed...
