Old Mill — Restaurant in Valentine

BEST FOOD IN NEBRASKA

This is my second time visiting the Old Mill and once again my taste buds are still relishing the incredible food I devoured over 30min ago.

My Husband and I moved from Arizona to NE, last spring, and this is by far the BEST spot to grab a bite. The menu has an array of options from pizza to deli meat sandwiches. However, the #14 wrap is hands down worth the 55 minute drive! It's loaded with freshly cut chicken deli meat, bacon, onion, jalapenos and a sweet-spicy cream cheese spread that will make your belly full and your taste buds screaming for more.

If you're ever going through, or live nearby Valentine, then be sure to stop in and give it a try; and don't worry if the parking lot looks full you won't wait long. They have an excellent system to get the orders out quick without sacrificing the quality. Besides, you can always take a gander at the store side and leave with either trinkets, spices, cookies, deli meat and cheeses to go, farm fresh eggs, or hamburger as well as buffalo...

Amazing find. Traveling through Valentine we stopped for lunch at Old Mill, not knowing what to expect. We found an incredible menu of pizzas, wraps and sandwiches with high end ingredients at a fair price. We had the Tuscan sandwich, Greek wrap, Old Mill special sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. We all raved about our meals. The toppings and condiments were perfectly paired with great meats. Then we purchased some bakery items which were phenomenal. Then bought several "bulk containers" including salted caramel chocolates, dates, gluten free noodles, etc. Did I mention the decor is very nice, too, with lots of room and an open kitchen? My dads side of the family is from the Rosebud Sioux Tribe of which I am also a member. We normally visit at least every other year, but we stay in Valentine when we do. We were pleasantly surprised to find Old Mill Bulk Foods and Deli. Especially early, before noon I mean. They have frappes so much better than Starbucks or scooters and the pastries !!! OMG !!! The Scones are the best I’ve ever had, and the cinnamon buns and sticky bun are Heaven on Earth ! I ordered a dozen of the sticky buns and blueberry scones to take home lol. I seriously am going to miss this place when we have to go back home.
