Brought Chitlins (Chitterlings) on 1/1/2021. The situation was so unorganized. Got there around 11:50am about 5 people in front of me. They open at 12noon. The lady took our orders outside n said she'll call our names when our order was ready. I knew from jump that was a bad idea cuz some people waited n their cars not close enough to hear. I never heard my name called nor seen her come outside n call names. So my order been ready gettin cold. And a few people in front of me names weren't called but they order was ready too. That was 1 thing i didnt want was my food gettin cold. I only knew my order was ready cuz people behind me orders were ready. Iam talkin 5 to 6 people behind me food was ready. I knew theirs was ready cuz i saw them leaving with their order after they went inside but still their names werent called. They just went inside. So i knew mines had to b ready. There was social distance signs up n only 4 people allowed inside. But about 12 customers were inside with no room to social distance at one point. For 1 small side it was $22 or 21, RIP OFF. NEVER AGAIN. WASNT WORTH IT. They even ran out of chitlins so people waiting outside to place order for like 20 minutes or more didnt even get to place order. Nor did she come back out to take any orders after like the 6th person behind me. Meanwhile the line was growing. Nor where customers outside told by workers they ran out of chitlins. Customers had to go inside to ask and the customers made that announcement outside. House of Soul disconnected their phone and their website was down. The worker that took orders outside admitted to customers she disconnected the phone, so no phone or Doordash or web orders. U got to wait n line n hope they didnt run out of food. I didnt get my food till like 1:15pm. If chitlins are that popular and customers want chitlins, then House of Soul should consider selling it year round not once a year. The tall dark skin black lady with the long semi curly hair and with the kids was AWESOME n performed well under pressure....

Come on little girl don't start with me pls...i grabbed my food off the counter (already paid of course) and left....she was rude off top when walking in there....on top of that they didn't even give me my cornbread...one star customer service is everything...i most likely wasn't...
Read moreStopped by on a Sunday afternoon on our way to Napa. Wonderful feel inside the restaurant. Both my wife and I ordered the fried chicken dinner. My wife's with greens and mac/cheese, mine with sweet potatoes and mac/cheese.
The plates hit our table while the chicken was still sizzling. the aromas were wonderful. After letting the chicken cool for a few moments, it was time to take a bit. OMG: I hadn't tasted anything this good in a long time. The flavor mix in our mouths was a combination of crispy skin, juicy chicken and great spices. After the grins subsided from our mouths, it was time to try the sides. The mac/cheese was super creamy, almost a custard consistency. The potatoes tasted like I was enjoying pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving dessert. The greens were sweet and the best tasting I have ever had. The cornbread was a bit dry, and nothing to write home about, but with the phenomenal plate of food in front of us, we didn't care.
Our biggest concern upon exiting the restaurant was how soon we could be in the area and come back for another plate full of the best food either of us had eaten in a...
