After a long week my wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. We arrived around 5:45, went in, immediately got seated that lady was super nice. The waitress was sweeping the floor when we sat down, and she immediately took our drink order, and this is where it gets crazy. I ha e always drank Strawberry Lemonade at Coltons in the past, so that's what I asked for, I was told they do not have that, and have never had it... ok I'll have sweet tea, same for my wife. She brings our drinks, and we place our order. My wife: Hawaiian ribeye, medium well, ceaser salad, and sweet potato fries. Me: T-Bone, medium, house salad, loaded baked potato, no sour cream. After we order my wife runs to the restroom, then the waitress comes back and asks again how we wanted our steaks cooked, so I tell her. We wait for approximately 20 minutes, and she brings our salads out, the lettuce in the salad was brown and smelled horrible, so I asked her if they had fresh lettuce for a fresh salad, she goes to check, comes back 10 minutes later, takes the old salads away, comes back 15 minutes later with new salads. Ok awesome!!! So we eat our salads, and probably 30 minutes later we get our steaks, mine was a heart beat away from still being alive it was so raw, and my wife's was severely overcooked. My wife eats hers, i send mine back. After several minutes I get the 2 pieces that I cut off the bone back, they literally recorded the same piece that I sent back, and now it was dry and burned, not even well, it was burned. So I send it back again. Meanwhile my wife had already finished with her boot heel. Finally I get my steak back and it's cooked properly. I eat, and ask for the check, after all this mess they where still wanting us to pay full price for both meals, I ask for the manager, this guy comes from the back with a severe attitude and asked what the problem was, and I told him the entire situation. He then blames me for them waiting a t bone, and was a complete jerk about everything that happened. The only compensation he gave us is he took like 35% off the t bone meal. Needless to day I will never step foot back in that restaurant, the whole situation was ridiculous, and was not handled properly. After arriving home neither my wife or i feel well at all, maybe going to the e.r. constant vomit, and diarrhea. Also it wasn't just our table, all the tables around us were having very...
Read moreWent with a party of 6 and I don’t think my family and I we’ll be back anytime soon. Let me start off with the first mistakes. A salad was ordered but never brought out, a side of mashed potatoes was ordered but when mentioned that those didn’t come out with the meal the waitress went to check on them and find out that while they was getting ready to serve them they figured out they didn’t have enough and it would take 20 minutes to make more. Then for the fun part of our evening.🙄 Three out of our party ordered the chipotle chicken nachos. They brought them out with the chicken completely cold and the rice didn’t taste like they had even cooked it. Imagine taking rice out of a brand new bag and just placing it on nachos.. this was our dinner. We told the waitress who apologized and went and told the manager who dragged her feet coming over to us. When she asked what the problem was she said ohh well the chicken isn’t normally supposed to be cold but it’s fine to eat. When we heat it up in the MICROWAVE sometimes it may not get completely hot but I’ll tell the food preparers about it.Next we tell her about the rice and how hard it was.. she said she would again have her food preparers check on it. She then proceeds to tell us that she’ll take off the receipt two of the nachos and ask if we need anything else and to have a good night. She doesn’t offer to re-fix our dinner, or bring us anything else. So instead we all finish our dinner part ways and i go to Wendy’s so I can get dinner because Colton’s wasn’t fit to eat. I feel like the manager could have done a better job and at least acted like she cared that 3 people that ordered the same thing couldn’t eat their dinner instead of telling us sorry and to have a good night after being told our food...
Read more4/7/16. My husband hand I decided to give Colton's yesterday believing that the location has been open long enough for the "bugs" to have been worked out. It was mid afternoon and there were only a small number of cars in the parking area which, while troubling, did not set off alarm bells. Once inside we found the reception desk vacant and the only staff member we could see was too wrapped up in her texting to notice us even as I repeatedly called out to attract her, or anybody's, attention. THIS should have been our warning. A young woman did come out from the Bar area and seated us. Despite a near empty dining area we found that the table was sticky to the touch. Our appetizer of onion tangles arrived quickly and was quite hot. We had both opted for Caesar salads and they also arrived promptly and were okay but a bit short on dressing and flavor. My husband had opted for the Del Rio River and found it to be satisfactory although he did have to add salt (which he rarely does) to enhance the flavor. My choice was the NY strip. I had requested medium rare and it arrived barely cooked, pale and unappetizing. This typically lean cut was ringed with a large border of fat/gristle which made up at least 3-4 ounces of the cut. In addition to being improperly cooked and generally unappealing it was totally tasteless; so tasteless that I ate less than half before handing the rest over to my husband. He was able to add enough salt and sauce to finish it. The final bill was $60. ~ for $20. more we could have gone to Doe's and had a very tasty steak. Doe's sides are not very exciting but we can always count on a tender, tasty steak. We will not be returning to Colton's. I consider it a total...
