Geno's Pizza — Restaurant in Van Buren

I readily admit I am a pizza snob. I have extremely high standards when it comes to pizza which obviously plays a huge part in my pizza reviews.

I’ll start with the service: The staff in the Van Buren location is always friendly and attentive. No service issues at all. Five stars for service.

On to the pizza - We went for dinner so the pizza buffet was not available. Instead, we ordered a large pepperoni pizza. It came with 6 pretty sizable slices which the two of us polished off no problem. The pizza came right from the oven so it was as hot and as fresh as you could get it. It was good but not great. It had an nice thin layer of sauce and a decent layer of cheese. Maybe a little skimpy on the pepperoni but there was enough to make sure each slice had some.

For Arkansas, I’d say this pizza is good. It seems like most of the pizza places in this area use the same dough and the same ingredients so all the pizzas taste the same. That being said, if you’re in the mood for pizza, Geno’s is not...

We looked online last night, 12-6-24, to see the hours of operation...which said y'all were open until 10:00. We stopped by at 8:00 pm only to meet a family who also wanted pizza, whom informed me that the lobby was locked. The open sign was on, lights were on and there was a vehicle in the back where employees park. I was very disappointed, and annoyed. We were getting ready for a trip today and were planning on ordering 4 pizzas, two for dinner and then two to take with us on the trip.

I have a suggestion. How about someone take accountability and change the information online so it actually reflects how the store operates. Oh, and you may also want to check to make sure your prices are...

I went for the buffet. There were 10 people inside. They put one pizza out in the span of nearly 30 minutes. We asked for a refund and they wouldn't give us one until we kept demanding it. The girls working were lazy and had no idea what was going on. They were rude to us when we ask for a refund and acted like we were the bad guys. We won't be back. The salad bar was very skimpy on salad toppings. They were out of several toppings. We had to tell them they were out of several. We tried to pay for the food we ate and were overcharged. Terrible service and terrible attitudes by the employees. No manager was to be found and wouldn't even answer his phone when his own...
