Saku Saku Hibachi Grill — Restaurant in Van Buren

I’m a long time customer from since y’all first came to town in the food truck. I love the food, never ever had a problem with it. Still love it, you can’t lie on quality! However, tonight’s experience was my last. I called and ordered my food at 7:38pm, I have my 2 daughters with me so we went and got their pizza before picking up my order since it was closest to home. I was told 10-15 minutes (which usually it is but I never expect it bc I know they’re a busy spot and I’m never dissatisfied with the food). I showed up at 8 and was told it wasn’t ready yet, that more chicken needed to be made. I begin to wait patiently for another 10 minutes and return to be told it still wasn’t ready yet. I only got the chicken and rice.. I proceeded to wait another 10-15 minutes as more people came in and were being served. Finally after my daughters have had enough waiting and were ready to eat their food that was about cold at this point, I politely asked for a refund and told her I don’t even want it anymore. I get being busy, but this just doesn’t sit right on my palate and after years of loyalty, this’ll bring it to a close!...

Good Japanese restaurant with a variety of appetizers, and fresh made Ramen! Large selection of sushi, sashimi, and Hibachi. Outside appearance is misleading, inside is nice colorful and very clean. Food is freshly made to order, not fast food. Order at the counter be seated and they serve you. Miso Ramen with Tempura chicken was great! The broth was hot and flavorful, mushrooms veggies and noodles were fresh, egg was perfectly done, with 2 dumplings, the tempura chicken was 3 huge stripes on the side! So much food I took half home for dinner. Our Hibachi shrimp was clean fresh and very good (We've had shrimp elsewhere that just didn't look or taste right) Edamame was good also. The service was good, the Ramen takes a while but so worth it.This is a small business with great food and great people possibly all family. Don't expect fancy or a lot of attention, this isn't a Michelin restaurant! They're always very busy with take out orders as well as inside diners. If you need something extra just go up to the counter and ask, they will happily oblige. Definitely on our regular...

We are here on business for a few days and decided we would try it. Small little place, but the seating area was clean and cozy. The prices were reasonable. The rice needs more flavor. The Louisiana roll was good. The sauce was a little different from what we are used to, but it was good too. Great service. I would suggest they change the pop/rap music that was playing way too loud. Two other families wanted it turned off so I politely asked them to turn it down, they did but you could sill hear the vulgar words to the song. I think it would be a great place to have some instrumental music playing to go along with the mood of the place. I would go back, I just would check the music playlist before...
