Donut Palace — Restaurant in Van Buren

If I could give no stars to write this review I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This morning was the nail on the coffin for me with this place. I try to bring my kids about once a week as a treat for doing such a good job! I hadn't go unnoticed that the lady that normally works the window is incredibly rude to me. She doesn't open the door all the way when I'm trying to let her know what I would like, she does this all the time. Then comes back and has to ask what I wanted when I told her already through a cracked window. I started noticing her doing it and just kindof brushed it off. Like my daughter would say maybe it is cause your not wearing a mask or maybe it's my breath. I mean I brushed my teeth. Then it just kept happening. Like as soon as she sees me she does it. I know most would say why do you keep going back. I was trying to do the benefit of the doubt thing thinking it was just my imagination but today was the worst. When she came to the window to ask again what I wanted when I had already told her, she shook her tongs at me to hurry up and tell her. When I gave her my card she didn't tell me how much. Then when she gave me everything she put everything together including my card that she had put between the napkins and bags. I have never been treated so disrespectfully in my life. I have been in the service industry for ever and would never treat someone like that. I cried today because of it and I don't know if it was more in the way that I reacted to it or the fact that my kids had to witness me upset over it. 😤 there donuts and sandwiches are good but anyone can heat up a breakfast sandwich in a microwave and slap icing on a donut. I'm sure this post will maybe either go unread and not even be cared about at all and one person with a bad review doesn't matter 😉 cause why would they treat all there customers like that when they can do it to one person and make there day...

I walked into the donut shop with my service dog. Only one family was in there and the children were talking about my dog. I smiled and said thank you! I stepped up to the counter and the clerk immediately said to me "Don't bring your dog in here, we have open food. I said quietly ,because I didn’t want to make a scene,”she is my service dog.The lady said again. “Don’t bring her in here again.” I didn’t say anything else just took my food and drink and left. I got into my car and open my cold Starbuck coffee and it had floaties in it. This was the second time I experienced this. The last time it had curdles around the rim. I told her the last time about this and she said “ that’s not my problem.”So I called the health department and he spoke with her. She failed to tell him I had a service dog. He said you can take your service dog anywhere. She had put a twist on it. The health director said, it really isn’t her problem. Really? I called starbucks main office and they said “If you bought it from anywhere other than starbucks, that business is responsible for a refund. Grocery store’s , restaurants etc. They aren’t trustworthy people. They need to learn the laws of our Land!I definitely would not...

We came in @ 915 this morning,they were out of a lot of popular items. The lady was rude when I asked to have the egg off my sandwich. (I didn't care if they charged me the same price.) I had to go out to the car to get some more money. I got back in & the total had changed again. Back to the car for more money lol. My husband asked her why the total changed twice. She got mad,rerang it and spouted off,I took the egg off what else do you want!! He just asked why it changed twice.

They don't have to worry about waiting on us again,we won't be back. If I could give no...
