I wouldn't recommend this waffle house, the waiter that took our order didnt seem to care about us when I came to refills, the cook that was over the hashbrowns didnt cook mine the way I ordered them and they were also under cooked. We watched the cook that handled the meat, she grabbed the raw bacon in the fridge and placed on the flat grill then we watched her grab eggs to crack open and cook, then go back to the meat already cooking grabbing the spatulas. It was ok until we watched her grab the plates that our food was going on then we watched her scoop up the meat and place it on the bread using her hands to hold the meat on the spatula to keep it from falling. Yes this is all with the same gloves that she put the RAW bacon on, and RAW sausage, as well as RAW hamburger patties. Cross contamination did set well with me. Another thing was salt was used very heavily with the food. We use to come there to eat lunch a couple times a month, and it may be$ 49.00 but that is $49.00 that will go to a different company, that takes care of their guest and is aware of cross...
Read moreJust to clarify, I'm giving this 5 stars because this location lives up to what you expect from a Waffle House. Obviously, you can find better breakfast locations around.... But when it's 10:00pm and you're needing a break from a 7-hour road trip, this place hits the spot. The waitress meant business; she wasn't trying to be super friendly but also wasn't rude. I'm not expecting Chick-Fil-A style service, so I appreciated this. She accommodated me when I decided to get a side of sausage after I had already placed my order (the sausage was excellent👌). I tried their limited-time Strawberry Shortcake waffles. For what they were, they were super good!
I will say, my one complaint with Waffle House as a chain is that they have disappointingly few waffle options for a place called Waffle House. And even their fruit toppings don't include real fruit. But that's an issue with corporate, not this location. And I'm always hoping to see a fight, but that hasn't happened yet, unfortunately. All this to say, if you're looking for the proper Waffle House experience, you'll...
Read moreIt has been about 10 years since I last lived close enough to a Waffle House to make it a dining option, so when guests from out of town expressed an interest in going there for lunch, I was happy to oblige. After reviewing the lunch menu, we all settled on the steak and hashbrowns bowl. While under seasoned and requiring some 'doctoring' at the table, the meat to potato ratio was on point and the amount of food was perfect. I was neither hungry, nor uncomfortably full, by the time I finished. The price point was also very reasonable. The staff was very friendly the entire visit. We were warmly greeted by everyone when we entered, were well cared for by our server during our stay, and when we left we were met with smiles and a warm invitation to return. So while the food is not excellent, it is decent, reasonably priced, and served by a staff who understands the value and importance of excellent customer service. I would eat here again, for the service more...
