This was my first visit to a Zaxby's. It was disappointing. I ordered 10 piece chicken fingers. I feel it was over priced ($13) for not coming with any sides when the pieces were so small. It came with four sauces so I asked for one more. At this point I had not seen the Chicken fingers yet and was thinking four would not be enough for ten pieces of chicken. I was told that I would be charged for another sauce. After leaving with my to go order and opening the box I found a bunch of small pieces of chicken. Not what I expected. The more disappointing part of this experience was the chicken itself. It was dry and took effort to bite through and chew. This tells me that this chicken must have sat at the warmer for too long because the center was not the same consistency. They also had my food out immediately. Yes, fast is good but not when the food is not good. I ordered such a large quantity because I was expecting to have leftovers for when I got off work. This was not the case. I'm glad I did not order the five piece meal that I was originally considering. I've been thinking about my experience and whether or not I'll give them another try to see if this was a fluke. Here are my considerations. It was late in the day, 8:30 pm. But the quality of food served should be consistent regardless of the time of day. I would have gladly waited the few minutes it takes to fry chicken. The pieces may have been what was left in the warmer because of it being late in the day and may be larger mid day. But once again what is served should be consistent through out their day. Price/value is subject to opinion. In this situation I base it on quantity and quality. Read moreThis was probably the worst experience I’ve had with a Zaxbys. Very disappointed and the franchise owner needs to make some change, because this is not the way Zaxbys needs to be ran. We walked in to go place an order at 7:46 PM The employees at this restaurant act like it was 9:46pm closing time. Everything we go to order we have to wait 10 or 15 minutes, she said because it’s getting close to closing time, they Don’t have anything prepared. The drive-through is staying steady with people parking having to the wait for their food and I’m dumbfounded and looking at the time and They don’t close for another two hours at this point. After placing our order, we filled up our cups with sweet tea, sat down while we’re waiting for our food and the pregnant girl that took our order had Another girl dump out the big tea jugs. I walked up and asked about it and she said that she’s pregnant and can’t dump out herself. I tried to explain, we just ordered sweet teas and only got one cup and we would like to refill our drinks when we get our food and all she could say is I’m pregnant and I can’t dump it out myself. I tried to explain to her. It’s only 8 PM. You don’t close until 10 PM. We just ordered drinks and was drinking the sweet tea, why would y’all dump them this early? It’s Such a waste when you have customers that just ordered sweet tea’s and pour them down the sink right after they filled one cup up. I’m really aggravated about the drink situation due to the rising cost of drinks anymore, we should have had the option to refill our drinks. Read moreI embarrassingly enough have gone to Zaxbys in VB twice this week, trying to support our local food joints ESPECIALLY with COVID, and both times the order was incorrect. With that being said, today I went through and got a Kickin Chicken Sandwhich meal for my fiancé and a six finger dinner meal for myself and maybe to share with my dogs ;) and an order of fried pickles. I checked my order before I left, due to a bad experience earlier this week, and not to mention there were three cars pulled over to the left in front of me waiting on their order and they gave me two three finger meals instead. I then went around to the drive through and explained what happened and that I had the food and receipt and the “middle aged” lady said she couldn’t quite hear what I was saying and to pull around. Then another younger woman got on the mic and said “they heard me” very rudely and said to come around. The “middle aged” lady was so wonderful and made it all correct, so I thought. They did try to blame it on the “box size” however a Kickin Chicken Sandwhich meal is obvious vs three chicken fingers.
After they “corrected” the issue I got home and started eating with my fiancé and there wasn’t any coleslaw for the side with fries which my receipt shows....... I won’t be supporting this business anymore no matter how much I love their food.
I have NEVER written a review on anyone or anything. Its not like it was a “bad” night like I’ve read their responses to other customers that have reviewed poorly. This has been twice in the last week. I hope they continue to flourish but as expensive as it is with the poor customer service and incorrect food we won’t continue...
