McDonald's — Restaurant in Van Wert

Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat on our way to Columbia City Indiana. Mind you had already been in the car for 2 hours coming from home. They make you use a kiosk to order. Only 1 of the 4 they have work. Never having used one before, it took some time. Finally got our food ordered. We get our food and it's wrong. Go up to the counter and ask for the manager. Apparently I should have asked for help with the kiosk because that's all she would say. Now if you can help people order why not just have a person taking orders at the counter?? Then I show her the big mac. There was literally nothing between the top and middle bun. No sauce. No burger. No lettuce. Nothing. She asked me if it was under the middle bun. Like that makes it ok or something. So I asked her if she was ok with it being served like that or if she would eat it. Her response was "well I'm willing to fix it but not if you are going to have an attitude " now mind you I hadn't gotten an attitude YET. She never did answer my questions. Just kept telling me not to get an attitude while the whole time she had one. The lady waiting behind me came inside after going through the drive thru to get her food fixed and she got smart with her too. She really needs to find another line of work if that's how she is going to treat people. Her attitude is rather ridiculous. Other than that, the store was clean and so was...

So after a long 2 day trip with a van full of kids, we stopped here about 10pm for a quick bite. Although the restaurant is under construction and only the drive thru was open, we were highly enlightened by an employee named Chris. He was super friendly on the speaker, and made our entire family laugh with his sense of humor and manner of speaking. With 7 different people ordering we expected attitude, and Chris definitely surprised us. He acted as if our long difficult order was no bother at all, even though we held the line up until it was at least 7 cars deep. Then at the window both employees that we dealt with were very friendly and professional, it really was a surprise to us, being so late, almost closing time, and such a large order. These were employees that care about their job, care about their customers, and care about the image they present in the name of McDonald's. The sandwiches were covered with toppings which was a sloppy mess over the entire top and bottom of the buns .... The meals was shown on the board to be value meals for 3.00 each, but expecting to pay 6.00 plus tax when we made it the the cashier window it cost nearly 9 bucks because the chicken wasnt supposed to be on the 3 dollar value meal even though the sign had it that way. We asked the cashier about the cost difference and his reply was it not on sale even though it was listed that way because the managers are the only one's that can change the sign and they were not on site.... It was nice to be over charged by nearly 1/3 more then the original listed cost ! Welcome to 2022 i guess where even Ronald McDonald is over charging and false advertising on the drive up billboard in plain site. I guess we should be happy they are even open for business in this time we live in . What a mess ! , i guess the Joke is on us today so i figured i would share it...
