Don Taco — Restaurant in Vancouver

Unfortunately this once amazing restaurant has declined in presentation and price. $3.99 per taco! That's higher than California, and we're not talkin specialty tacos like birra or tripitas. I ordered some milanesa torta and they were sadly lacking in beans avocado and I kid you not there was one slice of tomato. Dry even with me adding the salsa.

No air conditioning makes the place very hot and concerning for the temperature of the food that is sitting out. I went back today and had the same tortas and once again they were dry. This time I ordered a side of beans and since I had unlimited access to the salsa bar, I was able to make it not dry.

Staff is very friendly and the quality of the meat is good. I'm not saying to not go here or write this place off, I'm just saying that after not coming here for a year-and-a-half and then coming back excited to eat here once again I was sadly disappointed.

I am in love with this place!!! I am from El Paso Texas and since moving here to Washington I had yet to find good Mexican food. In Seattle, I gave up. When we moved here to Vancouver we came across this place and we fell in love.

Don Taco Staff are super genuine and friendly! Their Food portions are huge and I mean HUGE! So you get a hefty meal for your hard earned money! Their food is Homestyle and Delicious! Their salsa's are also authentic and I appreciate that they don't water them down! I also really liked that their was this lady making fresh tortillas near the counter! Also their was this lady cleaning the floors when I was leaving and she was super caring about me being pregnant, even offering me to hold her arm so that I didn't slip and fall and I really appreciated that, she even said she didn't care about my salsa's falling out of my hand meaning she had no problem cleaning it up as long as I didn't fall!

Needless to say I'll definitely be returning to Don's whenever I get my cravings for Mexican Food! Thank you guys for the food and buen provecho to all who give...

Don Taco always slaps! It is so freaking good. Favorites so far include all meat burrito (shredded beef), three meat breakfast burrito, tre mary (sp?), enchiladas, tamales, chilaquiles, etc. We have tried a lot here and have loved it all. Worth noting that a lot of places around here use beef as birria, but they use goat I believe. My eyes are always bigger than my stomach here and portions are large so I have some for next meal too. I really love this place and feel it has some undeserved negative reviews on Google. I so appreciate the quality of food and preparation every time! My only suggestion to the restaurant is better packaging for delivery drinks. The horchata is fantastic but usually spills in the bag.
