I have eaten at Mars off and on for the past five years. In the beginning it was OK. They have only gotten worse and worse. I find their customer service to be RUDE. They are not friendly at all. We ate in a while back and I asked for more sweet and sour sauce for my meal. The lady told me that it was enough. I asked her again and she then took my plate back to the kitchen to add more. I know I should have just got up and left but I just shook it off and tried to look past what she did. Tonight we ordered take out. I went and picked it up only to find out that they gave me the wrong order. We called to let them know and the young man on the phone only said SORRY. How about a I AM SO SORRY, or maybe a I AM SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE AND WE WILL HAVE THE CORRECT ORDER READY AND WAITING FOR YOU. We drove back to return it only to be made to feel like it was our fault. She credited our card for the first order and charged us for the second with out explaining anything. She just brought the credit card receipts and expected us to sign with no explanation of what she did. Maybe you they could have taken a little off on the price or thru in something extra for thier mistake. Maybe just a heart felt apology would have been nice. Tonight will be the last night I will ever eat at Mars. I can only hope they read these reviews. My advise to them would be this- Give your guest a sincere welcome when they arrive. Dont make them feel like they are interrupting your day by coming in. If a Customer askes for more sauce, please get it for them in a side bowl. Do not make the feel guilty that they had to ask for more. Try to communicate better with your customers, let them know what you are doing with your credit card. All in all.... Dont act like you are being put out because I came in to eat at your restaurant. I wish there was a way to give...
Read moreThe ambiance and decor here makes for such a nice place to gather and come in from the weather! Unfortunately the good is HORRIFIC at "best". .. Was hoping to find a good place for Chinese food on the East end of town closer to home so we stopped in. Our order was simple.. crab puffs and chicken egg foo yung. Puffs came out (small🙄 but) hot and fresh so I was excited _ until I dropped one in my mouth.. I'm not new to CP every restaurant has their own recipe but I do not enjoy eating food that's been in the refrigerator waaaay to looong and tastes like it's on the down side because OLD cream cheese flavour is MEH!😖 As for the chicken egg foo yung EXTREMELY disappointed there as well.. my S.O. pointed out to me that their's obviously didn't have onions, celery or bean sprouts but I thought they looked really good (and were HUGE_ considering every place out there is still PANDEM'ING_ cutting quality quantity and RAISING prices on everything 🙄tsk! tsk! tsk! people)so I was ready to dig in👍.. but was greeted with something quite BLAND and FLAVORLESS 😵 OUCH! STAY AWAY from the chicken egg foo yung as there WASN'T any chicken in it whatsoever.. I spent my time trying to figure out WHAT mystery ingredient they substituted the chicken for..🤪 uhmm I'll get back to you on that after I do my homework .. I'm maddd faces on the food here.. but the people are really nice attentive and friendly and this is a really clean place and the welcome in is warm and friendly.. My S.O. thinks we should come back and try something else next time..(?) Idk🤨 I might just stick to the House of Beijing and make the run out there to Hazel Dell it's been our Go2 for the last 10+yrs🤗.. but in all fairness he has a point there.. hoping our next visit doesn't disappoint maybe we'll come try one of their...
Read moreThe food here is spectacular, and so is the service. I went here at lunchtime and I was amazed at the prices. 6 bucks for a huge hot and spicy chicken bowl! It was exactly as good as I hoped it would be. I ordered szechuan chicken also thinking there would be NO way a 6 dollar chicken bowl would fill me up. I was so wrong. So much food for 12 bucks.
Not only was the food excellent, but the nice lady serving us was ALWAYS there when we needed something. The restaurant was not full, but she was serving at least 4 other tables besides ours and was very impeccable with her timing. Servers at Red Robin's wished they had this level of efficiency and customer care. We felt very well taken care of, water and my tea always refilled when needed. I did not feel skimped on buying a beverage as some places are loathe to refill more than once (is it that expensive to refill tea??).
Amazing place. Amazing food. Amazing service. Just the perfect Chinese restaurant for that...
