Agnes Cafe — Restaurant in Ventnor City

If Agnes was still there I’d give it five stars but the people she changed it over to are rude and no consideration to food allergies or tolerance. I’ve been getting a breakfast sandwich for years; since the change of hands when I call and ask for one slice of cheese I get four. So I have to ask for no cheese but on the side. When I walked in to pick up my order you could tell the people in the back were upset that I wanted cheese on the side. The waiter walks out with a smerk on her face as if something smart was said and all the people in the back are looking up front to see “who is causing the trouble”.. I wouldn’t have to do all that if they would just put one slice of cheese like I asked. Good , quick food in the mornings before heading to the beach. WARNING : Do not come here if you aren’t at least 40. If you’re young like me and a buddy (26, 25), don’t even bother. They treat you like you just robbed their aunts house and are now being forced to serve you. Unfriendly, rude waiting staff. They’ll ask you what you want and then never return to ask if you want a refill, or need any extras, or anything for that matter. I had to physically walk away from my table to get my waitress after we finished our food and sat there for 20 minutes waiting...

The food was okay, fresh but nothing standout. Would be better if fries were fresh cut style. Service was nice and accommodating for our baby. Biggest knock was the coffee - trash. We were hoping to get espresso style drinks, like a latte or cappuccino. None available, only drip, and even that was not good, drab. This place could really boost itself with a legit coffee machine, not that expensive to invest in decent beans and espresso machine.
