Smart & Final Extra! — Local services in Ventura

At 3p, on 4/5/2020, I placed a $184.05 ordr 4 groceries! At 3:30p, recvd a txt delivry wld be at 5p. At 4:30p rcvd txt delvry wld b 6p, & evry 1/2h thereafter, recvd txt pushing delvry time an hr away ea time. At 9p msg said delvry wld be nxt day. On 4/6a, rcvd txt from Jennifer, my shopper she said. She askd me to call her to approve alternate foods for items I wanted they were out of. I called num got msg to lv a msg, then got msg mailbox was full. I never heard frm her again. Ur media Mgr Arturo said he canceled my ord cuz processing err. Ur Pub. Rel mgr Karen said she was escaltng my issue higher. As of today I've heard from no one, NOR, has Smart & Final given me back my $184. Its insulting to me to read ur Covid virus ad's on how u care about customers when I can't even get anyone frm S& F to respond to me or to even get my $184.05 back. I'm 70yrs old & can't afford to lose that much money or do...

I had only been to Smart and Final two other times. That is, I am a very new customer to the store and unfamiliar with their advertising.

I tried to use a digital coupon Tuesday evening as the sign on the store freezer said, "Scan and Save". This is unfortunately misleading as you need to

(prior to Tuesday -- preferably several days before as I was told by the Store Manager):

a) Download the app b) Set up an account c) Scan the QR Code or d) Digitally clip the coupon e) And then hopefully save.

None of this was described on the sign on the freezer and certainly a new experience for someone simply trying to buy some ice cream bars.

Fortunately the checker, Stacy, and Store Manager helped me enormously. Huge kudos to them for their outstanding customer...

I JUST WATCHED THE RUDE BEHAVIOR OF SCOTT THE MANAGER...AFTER HE HELPED AN ELDERLY WOMAN IN A ELECTRIC HANDICAPPED SHOPPING CART...AS HE WAS MY CASHIER AND AFTER HELPED HER...THERE WAS A PLASTIC SHOPPING BASKET IN AND AROUND THE CASHIER ASSEMBLY...AND HE THREW THE BASKET AND LOST HIS TEMPER AFTER HE HAD HELPED THIS ELDERLY WOMAN... AND...THEN WE EXCHANGED WORD'S AND I TOLD HIM DIRECTLY THAT HIS BEHAVIOR WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE...THEN I LEFT... MICHAEL...
