*RESPONSE TO OWNER: -For some Invicta is the same as Rolex or they can't see the difference between a Chrysler and a Bentley. I get it now about the "Fine Restaurant". -My martini was prepared with a very small amount of house vodka, she was preparing it 3 ft from me then you don't need to tell me what i saw. -The main dishes were cold. That is a fact. -I had only 1 side dish of mushrooms and onions and i was charged $16 for it. Please see the pictures i posted or look on your copy. It clearly shows "1". Another fact. -I'm surprised and i will be always surprised after any business who is already overpriced and charges 3.5% for a credit card payment in 2024.
Anniversary dinner ruined, not what they advertise! We walked into the business and at first impression it didn't look like a fine dining restaurant but we have been at so many places and had so many great surprises that we learned not to judge a book by it's cover. There was a big and noisy table at the main dining room then we decided to seat by the bar which was quiet. Our server was Danielle who is also the bartender and she was great from beginning to end. It took a while even to take the orders for drinks or food but we were mentally prepared for one of those long and relaxed European dinners. The place in general does not look good and does not match the idea of the "fine dining restaurant" that they are trying to sell, it looks more like an old mom and pop joint. My $18 martini was prepared with a drop of house vodka but who cares when you are waiting for the food of your dreams, right? I usually drink many cocktails or even order a bottle of wine but the first one was not inviting and just went with Pellegrino through the meal. We ordered the grilled octopus as starter which was basically a gummy salad with tiny pieces of not grilled octopus. After that dish arrived our perspective started to change the angle... They brought a complementary dish that i will not give my opinion about because we did not pick it. My wife's lobster ravioli were cold and ok on flavor. My daughter and I had the frites. My meat was cooked to perfection while hers was a lot dry on the outside for a medium, still the meat was fabulous. To our surprise the fries were soggy and the whole dish was presented horribly and cold. I had a side of mushrooms and onions for which i was charged $16 that you can guess how good it was... The prices were very high for the quality of the food. On top of that i was charged $12 for the Pellegrino's which was the highest price i ever paid for them. Cherry on top: 4% of "non-cash adjustment" on the tab. Management: have you ever heard about the "cost of doing business?". It would have been easier to swallow if it was a "service charge" because the server went above and beyond. In addition to the ambience part of the review, one of the servers that was working on the main dining room with a big table with separate tabs(she mentioned that frequently) was very loud and was making rude comments about the customers that were at the other room, using profanity out loud and just making us feel a bit uncomfortable. To our surprise, the same people that she was complaining about, were ordering a great amount of drinks(raising her tip) and hugging her when leaving(?). This place needs A LOT of improvement in ALL areas. I regret to have picked it for such an...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAfter having dined at numerous restaurants in Vero Beach, across the country, and around the world, I can confidently say that my recent experience at Chez Frenchies was by far the worst I've encountered. The food was subpar to say the least, and even the simplest drinks were beyond their capabilities. I would rather go back and eat at a DFAC in Bagram, Afghanistan than set foot in Chez Frenchies again. I deeply regret choosing this establishment for my birthday celebration and apologize profusely to my family for subjecting them to such a disappointing experience, especially considering they footed the bill. We waited nearly 30 minutes in between drinks, the food took nearly an hour and a half to be served and the complementary soup was no compliment. My wife, a cheerful and open minded woman, said after multiple drinks being sent back to the bar and over an hour into waiting for our food that enough was enough, she asked the waitress for our check and offered that we pay for what we had been served at this point, unfortunately thatās when the food started to arrive. The Wagyu appetizer had lards of fat hanging off of it with the appearance of a microwaved New York strip. Everything was drowning in butter and to say it was slightly over-seasoned would slightly be an understatement. We stomached what we could have āwhich we are all currently regrettingā and were as polite as possible when telling the waitress that our experience was less than satisfying. While we were outside saying our farewells to each other, another large group emerged with the same feeling of regret after having endured the same torture from within. Iām no āfoodieā nor have I ever posted a single review in my life, but the best part about this experience for me is being able to say farewell to Chez Frenchies. Never again!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy original review: Unbelievable prices for the quality of food. We paid $300 for a party of 4. French onion soup had no flavor at all, cheese was skimpy and bread was so hard it could not be eaten. We had 4 different entrees and they were all average or worse. Wait staff were inexperienced and ambiance was average. I've never seen such a mismatch between food quality and pricing. I'm angry, angry, angry.
Owner's response: If you don't expect to pay an average of $70 per person including beverage and tip in a fine dining restaurant you better dine in a food chain restaurant. if you read most of our reviews our patrons rave about our food and service , the onion soup is well balanced and doesn't need a lb of cheese to be tasty unless you are 90 years old and lost your palate It's too bad that you have to criticize the all experience because of the price, you should stick with chain food restaurants and don't be surprised that you will pay almost the same amount for 4 people if you order beef and appetizers, have you heard about inflation? maybe not if you are watching the wrong TV channels.
My comment: Its too bad you took the snarky road rather than apologize to an unsatisfied customer. I'm 58 years old, a multi-millionaire, and full-time world traveler. I've eaten in many Michelin star restaurants over the years. My family patronized your place in good faith. I'm sorry if it hurts, but Chez Frenchies is not yet fine dining (perhaps YOU need to get out more). I hope you get there. We sat next to people at another table who were also complaining about the lack of flavor in the food. I'm not alone in my review. Nevertheless, I recognize that nobody can please everyone, but I'm no neophite when it comes to good food. If I'm expecting a fine dining experience, I want tasty food, great service and comfortable environment. I got bland, inexperienced...
