8:15 p.m. At 20th St. location in Vero Beach, I'm at the drive thru. I ordered a 4 piece chicken strips meal with mashed potatoes and gravy and lemonade. Long pause. The girl didn't get all of it and asked me to repeat it. I did. She advised they didn't have any lemonade. I asked for root beer instead. I asked if they had any pot pies left. She replied "Nope." I asked for a breast meal instead. She says ok and asks if I want anything else. I tell her that's all and I pull around. At the window she looks at me and says, "You had the 8 piece?" I said no. She looked surprised and after further inspection she asked if I had the 4 piece tenders. I said yes. I wait. And wait. And wait some more. Finally she turns toward me and hands me a bag with only one meal box in it. I look at her and say, I'm supposed to have a chicken tenders meal and a breast meal. She says, I didn't get the breast meal. And THEN she yells to the back and asks if there are any breasts left. Then turns to me and says, "We don't have any." So I tell her just to forget it as I patiently wait for the root beer that is supposed to go with the tenders meal. She looks at me puzzled and I ask, "Are you going to give me the drink I ordered?" She says, "What was it?" I am sure at this point the expression on my face is speaking louder than words ever could as I tell her, " Root Beer!" This is the level of service I have experienced the last couple times I have come to the 20th Street location. Except last time at 8:30 they told me the only chicken they had was one thigh. They're open until 11:00 p.m. If this is the best KFC can offer, might as well go ahead and close down. Eventually people will just stop coming and you'll have no...
Read moreI usually have an average experience at the drive thru and the chicken is always good. Tonight I had the rudest person taking my order. I was trying to ask for the side orders for each meal and she would cut me off asking what drink do you want. I started to ask if there was lemonade and she was talking to someone else the whole time and asking me what drink do you want. Then I asked her if she took my side orders since she never let me finish. Before I could finish asking her she cut me off and answered yes what drink do you want? I finally had to tell her that she keeps cutting me off. Then she says to drive to the window. There was only one car that pulled up behind me when I was finishing my order and no cars parked. So it was slow. Don’t understand the rush. Then I pulled up and I heard someone in the kitchen ask her what she has pending at the window (referring to me). She said she doesn’t remember anymore. Please - if the owner has a timer for them to capture how quick they process orders - stop it. You don’t have a crowd problem - you have a customer service problem where they cut you off to score points for fast service. Very very rude experience with...
Read moreWhat happened to good customer service? Customer service is the support you offer your customers both before and after they buy and use your products or services that helps them have an easy and enjoyable experience with you. Offering amazing customer service is important if you want to retain customers and grow your business. What get me is the facial expressions. It is not my fault that you gave me old chicken, and mashed potatoes instead of cole slaw. I guess it is my fault I didn't check my order before driving off. I went all the way home and had to come back. I didn't have a bad attitude, but I did explain the problem. I went through the drive thru and was told I needed to come in for a refund. Refund? I explained I wasn't dressed properly to get out, and I didn't want a refund just my order right. I get to the window, two women I think one was a manager just looks at me. The one that I think was the manager finally said let me see the chicken! I got fresh chicken a wing , thigh and not breast, and cole slaw. It is the look that get me, and it's not the first time I got the look, but every...
