UMAMI Noodle Thai & Sushi — Restaurant in Vero Beach

Yummy food at great prices!

We originally went for the noodles since they are a "noodle house" but unfortunately found the ones we ordered (the vegetarian ramein and golden beef soup) to be lacking in flavor. Although the beef soup had a nice broth to it after I added in some hoisin and sriracha sauce, the ingredients were too plain, like they were just chopped and thrown in. No seasoning or anything. But there are lots of other noodles to try so we will be returning to try others. However don't let that deter you because I have plenty of good things to say!

We had other items besides noodles and everything else was yummy and superb! Sushi, dumplings, Thai ice tea and a few other items. Zero complaints. Everything was prepared and seasoned well, and plated mindfully.

I only gave 4 stars instead of 5 because our noodle dishes were too plain and the service was a little slow at times. Had to flag someone down a couple times. Even though they could be slow at times, the staff was super friendly, nice, smiling, and ready to serve. We were able to sit wherever we wanted and were greeted warmly. The area and restaurant was clean and sparkling. Beautiful and calming decor with lovely instrumental music. Clean bathrooms too. There's also a cute little patio area in the front if you'd like to eat outside.

I also like how their menu had pictures for every single item so there was no guessing in what you were ordering. Wish more restaurants did this!

The food came out quickly after ordering so we didn't wait long at all to eat. The sushi was super tasty! And if anything, I would go back just to have the Jairaro roll again and a Thai ice tea. Perfection 👌

Another hidden gem in Vero beach. This place is authentic, homey, and so worth visiting. Their outdoor seating is so cute and indoor is nice and cool/comfortable. Service was incredible, the team is warm welcoming and attentive. I am so glad I found this place. Staff was so professional even when I had a hard time deciding. Spring rolls were delicious and hot, they give you 3 pieces with the appetizer, and their ramen is impressive!

Reasonable pricing, too. Lunch special is my next go to when I come here as I’d love to try the pad Thai. They even give you a punch card for every $10 you spend, and I will definitely be back. They also have a huge menu with great selection of drinks, even sushi. The parking lot is nice and shady so your car isn’t going to be baked in the Florida heat while you eat.

Only one note for management from the diners perspective, there is quite a bit of AI generated music/songs on the playlist they are playing. They may consider updating the music to instrumental tracks which would fit really nicely here.

All in all, you must try this place if you like Asian cuisine even if just takeout - it’s worth supporting...

Update, July 2024: It’s been 2 years since my last review

The thai beef pho was amazing. So delicious and big portion. However, their service has drastically changed from the last time I was here. Dirty utensils and dirty plates. That was easy to fix and the girls serving us handled it well and brought us clean ones immediately. They did not bring out two of our entrees leaving two to starve while the rest of us ate. Their really fresh fish from the past also was not as fresh and so the two in my table that ordered sashimi and many rolls were disappointed. It’s a shame because the family and I were looking forward to coming here since the Noodle house was one of our favorite dinner spots when visiting Vero. If the other two meals came out, I’m sure the rating would have been higher since it seems like the non sushi food is delicious, but it’s a shame how our dinner experience went this time.

5 stars in July, 2022: Very Creamy crab ragoons. Vegetable green curry is good! The rice in the chirachi was great! And the raw fish were great quality. Service is wonderful....
