I had the most horrible experience at tropical smoothie on Sunday July 13, 2025. I placed an online order for 10:10 am pick up. I was hoping that i could get it earlier but that was the first available time slot. I am now aware that they open at 10 am on Sundays. I selected the 10:10 slot and proceeded to work since I don’t work far from the establishment and I could get there within minutes of the order being ready. Unfortunately, time was not on my side. I wasn’t able to get the order until 11:10 am. Let me tell you what I ordered: I ordered: a Cali breakfast Flat bread. It consists of meat of your choice. I chose grilled chicken, eggs, smoked cheese blend, Smashed avocado, and chipotle mayo. I requested no mayo. I paired that with a Mango Monsoon Smoothie. I ordered the same exact breakfast sandwich every day for 6 days with the exception of Wednesday when I ordered a different sandwich. When I walked in no one was at the front counter. I didn’t wait long as someone did approach me and I advised her that I placed an online order. As she went to grab the order that had been sitting on the shelf for at least 1 solid hour, I stated if she could remake the entire order because it had been sitting for so long. She seemed annoyed. I can say this because she immediately went into defense mode and told me she could remake the smoothie but not the sandwich. She felt the temperature of the sandwich and decided that it was still warm enough and suitable for me to eat. When she pushed it towards me I pushed it back advising her that it consists of eggs and cheese and avocado the has probably turned brown. She began to reprimand me saying next time order when I know I’ll be picking up and that I requested it for a promise time of 10:10. I let her know I’m aware that I ordered it in advance unfortunately I couldn’t make at that time. I became annoyed because she was relentless in her decision to make it apparent I was wrong for asking for her to have my entire order remade. I told her NEVERMIND. Just give me a refund I’ll order it somewhere else. It could have ended there, but she needed to proof a point. She told she was the manager. I never asked for a manager. I only asked for a refund. She found it necessary to show me she was an authoritative figure in that establishment and what she said goes. She even mentioned that she will let her supervisor know and that the $6.20 I paid will take approximately 5-7 days before it’s refunded to my card. Somehow she must have thought the length of time for the refund would deplete my account. Needless to say I was more than surprised at the lack of customer service. She accused me of yelling and approaching her with an attitude. I walked into tropical Smoothie calm and hungry. I left without any food. That past week they were advertising a free smoothie with a food purchase. I wanted to take advantage of it since it had been quite sometime since I been to tropical smoothie due to a traumatic experience years ago. She made my experience far more traumatic with her lack of judgment and experience and customer service skills. She told me to get out and then called the police to have me escorted and placed a trespass order against me. 2 very important pieces of information I almost forgot. When I asked for her name she told me she didn’t have one and that she didn’t have to provide that to me if she didn’t want to. She also said that our interaction was being recorded. I said very good. I hope there is audio as well. She indicated that there was. It is my hope that someone in REAL management sees this posts and tells me what her name is. This is a reflection of you and how she represents the brand Tropical Smoothie at 1555 us-1 in Vero Beach. After the police came she made it seem as if she was so polite to me and I reacted like some madwoman. Our engagement lasted way longer than it needed to. All because I wanted my order remade. She needs to not work in any customer service field. I would love for upper management to reach out to me, I think I’m owed a sandwich...
Read moreI was Very Very Disappointed upon my visit here today. Sunday, July 26th. My daughter is Pregnant and was advised to try Fruit Smoothies by her Physician.....since she rarely eats Fresh Fruit. Well this was her 3rd trip. Each previous visit was a semi- long wait ; but We are very Patient & Understanding folk. We noticed a few orders taken "After" hers--(one reg size smoothie only- no food) they happened to get theres first. ??? We said nothing on both occurrences. But Today.......it was done for the 3rd Time!!! ( now .....something HAD to be said.) I was in my car; waiting w/ groceries and my daughter ; after wating 20 mins; let me know she was Next; ....after the couple sitting on the outside w/ their Infant. Ok...cool....Once the couple rec'd their Smoothies; ...they patiently waited on their Food; which followed w/ in 5 mins. I see my daughter stand up;....then sit bck Down... Then.........out Comes 2 guys that arrived atleast 10 mins After Us....come out w/ 4 Large sized smoothies in carrying tray... I got out and went inside to the counter to explain my daughters order ticket had to get missed somehow. Now 30 mins has passed. The server continued making a smoothie for a gentleman that also arrived After my daughter. I saw she was going as fast as she could; but i simply asked for a Manager and was told she was Not Available. Then told.....She was not there !!! Clearly a Manager or atleast an Asst Mgr should be present At ALL TIMES !!! I apologized to the young black girl that she was working Alone; when honestly; the Apology Should have come from Her. I did let her know I was going to be sharing This Review and also speaking w/ an Owner or Manager tomorrow. Busy or not;......KEEP THE ORDERS IN THE ORDER YOU RECEIVED THEM.... Read moreI go to tropical smoothie everyday and use the app constantly to get my rewards. Unfortunately this location has an older lady manager (maybe shes the owner i dont know) that has to be right and get the final word no matter what even if it's a customer. I honestly feel bad for anybody that has to work with her I can only imagine how bad she treats employees if she's willing to berate customers in front of other customers. On more then one occasion I watched her argue with people because during rushes she gets frustrated and starts to make things out of order then yells at people if they make a comment like "hey, I was here before everyone else" she'll always have a slick comment and makes me uncomfortable even for other people I don't even know. I truly do not understand how someone with such a bad attitude got the position she has. someone needs to go in there and evaluate her because there is no way this runs to tropical smoothie standards if this isn't a franchise location I'd be shocked I highly doubt arguing with customers constantly is a corporate policy.
