The Compound Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Verona

Last year I moved to Verona and The Compound Coffee Co is the best coffee spot I’ve found thus far! The atmosphere is tough to beat, they have a beautiful lounge room for you to work, relax, and enjoy your coffee and/or treat. The vibes in this place are also tough to beat! They have a beachy, fitness, but modern vibe to the coffee shop which I love! The coffee is so well made, you can really tell how much work goes into making your drink. Depending on your price range and drink, the coffee may be a bit pricey but for the quality and service you receive, it’s totally worth the price. You could buy a coffee here, or at starbucks for about the same price so I definitely recommend making the trip here over starbucks. The staff is wonderful, so friendly and helpful especially if you need alterations to your drink like I do. They have a large variety of drinks to choose from and the menu is always changing with the season which I absolutely love! They have several options to order such as online, through the pickup/order window or you have the option of going inside which I highly recommend! The CoCoCo is outstanding, definitely something I did not expect Verona needed.

While looking for a new coffee shop, I stumbled upon The CoCoCo; the name is what convinced me. You see a beautiful outdoor setup with a training studio a door away (same company). There is parking and a good amount of seating outside from solo to family groups. While entering, three tables can handle up to 2 people each, there is a large amount of retail, a nice variety of drinks and if your lucky, the training studio has a dog called, Mumford and he sometimes sneaks out to say welcome.

The barista and cashier there were super friendly and welcome.

Their Ice coffee called Flash Brew is impressive in terms of their drinks, but I recommend trying the HALL & OATS ICED!!!! It is so addicting. From what I remember, the Iced Hall And Oat is Flash Brew, Honey, Oat Milk, Sprinkled with Cinnamon.

For the pastries, I loved the Pound Pancakes warmed up and the parfait. They also make a graze box that contains nuts, cheese, sliced meat, and mike's spice honey; sadly, I have not tried that yet.

I enjoy this coffee shop. The environment is great. Their drinks are phenomenally better than Starbucks. It's not as noisy as other coffee shops in the area. The sunlight is great in the library room.

The only downside is that one of the male baristas is not very friendly and he looks annoyed when you order a drink. He has consistently tried to close the shop 15-30 minutes early. He shuts down and cleans the machines before the end of shift so if you arrive like 15-20 minutes before closing time you might not be able to buy the drink you drove 20 minutes to get. I completely understand wanting to be efficient and needing to leave but it's inconvenient when you've driven 20 minutes across town for a to go drink based on the hours posted. He has also turned down other people so I'm not the only one with this experience.
