I took my mom there to watch the college world series. We were told we were too loud and we were asked to leave. My mom is on oxygen. I was the loud one. She can't get as loud as she'd like. Ignorantly, I thought it was ok to cheer in the seated bar area, to talk baseball, and to enjoy our time. Boy was I wrong. I was rooting for LSU, but like the Coastal Carolina coaches, I got kicked out. It was a special day for me and my mom that was ruined. I own not understanding that it is NOT a place to watch sports and cheer, that's on me. But the biased and intolerant treatment we received is not ok or even close to being ok. I won't go back ever. And I will tell any sports fans the same. We were told that the game didn't matter to anyone else so therefore we could not be loud or cheer. There was a group of young baseball players cheering as well. But they were allowed to cheer. I guess LSU is not popular in Vestavia or friends of the manager. Geaux Tigers 🐅 College World Series Champs 🏆 💪🏽 👏 Baumhowers for the loss. Boo and hiss.

First time at this regional sports bar chain, and we weren't disappointed! Was pretty busy just before noon on a Saturday, but no difficulty finding parking or a table. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and food was ready quickly. Nice covered patio for those interested in eating outdoors. Can be a bit loud, but not on the level of other similar places. Ordered the fried shrimp platter and gooey wingfinger bowl with fudge pecan pie for dessert. Curly fries with both were great, the queso blanco and buffalo sauce were fantastic. Good quality shrimp, and they didn't skimp on the quantity! Same can't be said for the wingfingers; only two come with the bowl, but those two were very good, and only two hushpuppies with the platter as well. Coleslaw was bland, but that wasn't what we were most excited about anyway. The pie was fantastic, though, and served warm and with a raspberry drizzle unlisted on the menu. Looking forward to trying more things on future visits!

This tavern has many TV monitors. You can see monitors from almost any direction, regardless of where you sit. They have veggies and other options for sides. But the menu says "no substitutions." So, you'll eat what they want to serve you. The people are great. They are quick to make sure you have everything you need. 4 for food. It is normal bar food, without many home cooked style options. Some of the food is quite tasty. 4 for service because you can't make your own choice for sides. 5 for the atmosphere. As a "sports bar," it certainly lives up to its genre. The attached picture was some treats for a birthday guest at my table.

Tonight was horrible. We arrived at 6:00 pm and was told there was a 30 minute wait and waitress asked for me cell and told me she would text me when seat was ready. Well 30 minutes came around, so I went in to check and she stared it would be another 15 to 20 minutes wait because of large parties which was fine because I had a party of ten. Long story short a lady who arrived way after I did with the same amount of people want seated before me and i addressed it and was told she was seed because they wanted the bar. I told the young man I didn't care because I was first then he goes to say well I was trying to seat you together. He said I have seating where I can seat 4 to a booth and the other 6 to a booth. Why wasn't that option giving beforehand and why did he assume we wanted a large table? Before we were seated another guest walked in wth a large party and i heard out the lady mouth thay she would buy him a "drink" if he could get them a table. So I'm guessing they accept bribes here for faster service. Anyway, after once seated the food was served and it was cold, and my 3 years old Mac n cheese was hard and cold, my chicken on my salad was hardand cold. I had so much lettuce you would have thought I was a rabbit. Tonight was horrible. I was given a survey card so that I could be placed in a drawing for a $50.00 card. Whoop to doo, what they need was better cooks in the kitchen and worry about the quality and presentation of the food. No complaint on the waitress she was very nice and sincere and the manager...

My family came in to Baumhowers in Vestavia for my husbands birthday. There was a miscommunication on our part about the number in our party. They sat us for 10, but we immediately asked for four more seats. We were initially told that it wouldn’t be a problem at all. The tables to our right and left were about to be available. We were told the table to our right had already been assigned to a party. So the table to the left was now empty. Instead of seating our additional 4 family members, they sat another family. Ok all is still well, because we were told that they could sit at what is considered the “bar” that was behind us. But that was short lived. Our family of 4 sat there just to be told that they could not sit there!!! I immediately approached one of the managers, his name is Adam. I explained that we were told that our additional members would be accommodated and asked why they had not been. His response was that he was trying to make everyone happy and that we were not his only guests !!! NO ONE showed any care or concern that our 4 family members could not join us 😡 They left. Not only were they embarrassed, but were angry that NO ONE cared enough to accommodate them. And every employee there kept whispering and looking at us as if we had done something wrong..NEEDLESS TO SAY OUR NIGHT WAS RUINED. MY HUSBAND DID NOT HAVE HIS ONLY DAUGHTER THERE WITH HIM AT HIS BIRTHDAY DINNER!!!! I am so very disappointed in Baumhowers…WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING..no one invited us back as we left 🙁...

Food was good, would was have Servicebeen better if I had been horrendousable to eat it fresh! We had a party of 15, were told it would be 30-40 minutes. At 30 minutes I went and asked about how much longer and was told they were waiting on one table to get up and they were eating kind of slow. At 1 hour I was told it would be another 30 minutes. At the hour and a half mark I sought out the manager who said he could seat us at booths that seat 6 and he had 3 of them all together. Great. They were not all together, there was a family between them. My son and I left so they could have enough room for the rest at the 2 tables that were together. I placed a to go order. When I asked to speak to the manager he knew I was waiting and spent his time changing tv channels and basically I felt like he was trying to get me to leave without having to talk to me. I spoke to the manager whose response was "we don't do large parties" that they weren't set up for that.. he should have told us at the beginning that they were unable to accommodate us instead of blowing smoke and telling us it would be 30-40 minutes. Then while I was complaining he said that he told us it would be 90 minutes. He never said that and I personally talked to him twice myself. He never once apologized. In my opinion in the service industry he should have sought us out to tell us it was going to be longer than expected not the other way around. Moral of the story don't go if you have more than 6 people because seemingly this is all they can...
