Vestavia Hills Parks & Rec — Attraction in Vestavia Hills

Was there for a ball tournament this past weekend. Facility was nice and easily accessible from lower parking lot. All fields within easy walking distance. My complaint comes concerning the ball tournament. We traveled about 2 hours to watch our grandson play. We have to pay to get into games, just to find that the scoreboard is on but no one operating it, very disappointed. Also we were told by official that the distance between bases was 5ft shorter in length. This had an effect on the entire game. Unfair to both teams. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect the facility to have the fields ready at proper distances and a manned scoreboard. Very...

Its very beautiful, very well equipped with state of the art swings and designer jungle gym, thats what attracted my kids. Its got a big ground with basket ball court etc but you gotta walk a steep downward slope if you're parked by the swings/jungle gym to get to the ground area. It was very cold when we went there so I could sit in the car and literally see and watch the kids playing on the massive out door jungle gym. The picnic tables also are right there by the parking so when they were thirsty I had put stuff on the table to drink/ eat. Its never full, I mean there was just 5 people there the whole 3hrs...

Not very impressed with this park. It's a busy place... so busy that it's extremely hard to actually enjoy yourself. Restrooms are subpar at best. Considering this is Vestavia Hills and they pride themselves on how much money they have, they failed at this park. The baseball fields are turf but it's incredibly small and there are only 3 fields. Overall, there are much nicer parks with much nicer people in other areas...
