Bruster's Real Ice Cream — Restaurant in Vestavia Hills

I am not typically the kind of person to leave an angry review. But I feel like our experience warrants it. While at Bruster's, myself (30 wks pregnant), my husband, and our 14 month old were enjoying ice cream. It started to rain, but we were under an umbrella and not getting wet. A Bruster's employee came out and took the umbrella while I was sitting at the table with my daughter, leaving us both soaking wet while my husband rushed to get the car once he noticed what was going on. This is not proper service - let alone treatment for a very pregnant woman and baby. I don't care if this is store policy, the employee could have politely waited a moment while we gathered our things, but instead jumped on the table to grab the umbrella before we had even a second to collect ourselves and put our daughter in her stroller. I ordered a sundae. The picture on the menu did not have whip cream but it was delivered with gobs and gobs of it. Toppings were placed in one spot in the cup underneath the ice cream and the toppings caused the ice cream to melt immediately. I came here because I received a coupon in the mail. The coupon was applied to my order but get this - it did not adjust the balance due. I did not receive an itemized receipt and when I did the math in my head I let the cashier know it was incorrect. He told me that I was wrong and that I forgot to add tax. He then proceeded to print an itemized receipt to show me that the coupon applied correctly.
