Definitely wanted to do a review of Moe's BBQ because I'm not been too big of a fan of Moe's BBQ and the reason is quite silly and that became apparent. There was one time a couple of years back that I'd ordered something and I didn't like it a bit. It wasn't undercooked or anything along those lines it just wasn't something I felt that I could have done and from that bad experience one time I've chosen not to go back and not that I refuse to go back but just hadn't gone out of my way to even think about going and today I went... I let one bad experience as far as the food is concerned nothing else I let that dictate the remainder of my choices years later and first of all I was greeted the second I walked in the door by a guy named Miller that works here. He was working the bar where you order food and call in orders and as he's speaking with me he's got somebody on hold and somebody else calling and he was doing literally probably 15 things at once while making me, the person standing in front of him, his priority but yet not deprioritizing the other things that he was doing. So I'm sure that each person felt like they were just as important as the other while keeping his focus on the guy in front of him. So first of all that dude, Moe's you've done a good job hiring that guy and I would do and be willing to do whatever it took to keep somebody like him. You know people are really quick to let folks go that make a lot of money because you can save money by hiring folks that don't cost as much money... It happens everyday... However as Moses figured out, when you invest in your employees, you give them a good working atmosphere, you give them the freedom of communication, then you come out on top because when I walked in I knew I'd be back again prior to even eating the food that I didn't like in the first place because of Miller's attitude and the way that he was handling business it was great to see from an outsider walking in the kind of encouraging motions that he was showing and I'm sure him grateful for that and I wasn't going to dictate the entire being on just the food but my experience as a whole was absolutely phenomenal. From walking in seeing him running around like a chicken with his head cut off while not avoiding or ignoring me. I was the priority but yet he was getting other things done so first of all let me say to whoever is reading this, Miller is one of the folks that is worth having around no matter what the price tag of his efforts may be. So thank you to Miller!
Secondly from the time I walked into the time I walked out every single aspect was perfect, the place smelled strongly a barbecue, as it should. The floors were clean it wasn't dirty there wasn't trash stowed anywhere The tables were bust although there were people at it So it wasn't like they were foregoing anything. From the little things like grabbing a cup so that the table looks clean all the way down to the customer service, this place nailed it and I don't know if I've ever been to another place that nailed all the small things. So thank you for a wonderful experience, and a big shout out to Miller, keep up the good work dude you don't see that very often and these days all you got to do for a job is just show up, can't get nobody to show up but you not only show up but you show out, I'm certainly glad that they got you and the reason, at least one of the reasons why that business is successful is because of attitudes like yours. So thank you...
Read moreI must say i'm typically relatively happy outside of the long wait times waiting for somebody to come to the front desk most times I am at moes. I typically come in here on my lunch break to get a half a pint of either black eyed peas or red beans and rice if they have them As it is a well sized well rounded light meal that doesn't bog me down in my work day. Today I went in and ordered a half pine of black eye peas, after selecting my tip and paying for my order I was informed that they don't have black eye peas. At this point I stated that I would like a refund and the worker set.nt for his manager. The manager shows up and tells me that our boys are refunded $4.40 out of my 7 something dollars that I spent period I guess for some reason the man thought that I would still want a drink even though I would not be eating any food there anymore? Honestly that is totally dishonest way of doing business because for a two dollar drink I should not be leaving a dollar something tip especially when my order was not right, but this manager seemed more annoyed that he had to actually do something rather than ask me what I would like which was a full refund not a partial refund. Now I have to go to another food Establishment and pay twelve to thirteen dollars for a meal and technically add the cost of this meal on top of that for my today's lunch. Absolutely ridiculous and a totally dishonest way of doing business. This interaction today just lost my business with moes entirely. I certainly hope they enjoy that free dollar something tip, because they won't be...
Read moreOn 9/20/22 the wife & I went to Moe's (Rocky Ridge Rd) for supper. She ordered Catfish, potato salad, & baked beans. I ordered Shrimp, FF & baked beans. My first bite was very disappointing. Nothing was hot. In fact it was barely warm. FF tasted as if they had been sitting out at room temperature. The best part of my meal was the sweet tea. The wife's Catfish was hot but the beans were just like mine.....barely warm. I should have sent it back but we were a bit short on time. I boxed mine up to re-heat at home. I advised the Manager on duty. He was courteous & apologized, BUT, he never offered to get me a fresh, HOT meal. Makes me feel that customer service is not at the top of the list. We eat there fairly regular & always had good meals but this time it was a disaster. We will try again & see how it goes. That...
