Froggy's Grub & Pub — Restaurant in Victoria

So read this and you decide what you think ? On a Sunday me my husband and two kids and bro in law and my husbands cousin go in to do a small celebration for the cousin. Literally we have our kids and they are not trying to get wasted .. like seriously . From the time we ordered a second bucket the server was already being overly worried about TABC laws … I understand but there is one 300 lbs guy and two medium sized guys . We ordered the trio appetizer, an order of wings . Two buckets and two round of shots . Ok she had us drink what we had first before any more could be ordered .. understandable . We decide to go to play pool and bring the new bucket we finally could order and from my understanding we were cut off because we were considered drunk . Like ok if it’s believed that we are. “ drunk “ okay but seriously a 300 lbs man can finish the bucket of miller alone and maybe catch a buzz . If the girl just didn’t want to serve for any other reason just plain straight up say it .!! Like the tip is already being taken out automatically!! Respectfully these guys could have got one more bucket and we would have left . This was the First time in this place and I completely felt ( I hate to use this word but discriminated ) and us and our friends will never ever go back ! Like Victoria is already limited with activities and family restaurants to get a little fun in . This was definitely a slap in the face. Like I walked out the place feeling so upset. They are way too sensitive there . Save yourself the trip and go to another accepting restaurant. And to the restaurant if you feel that I wrote the story wrong please let me post the videos on here...

The weekend is the best time to go if you want full menu options or brunch. I've gone during the week and there wasn't many options (not sure if it was because of lunch time or if they have more options during dinner). People will be drinking pretty early in the day. It's a pretty place with a long bar to be able to have room to sit st. The service can be pretty bad though. I know they do get busy but they don't seem to have enough staff on hand to handle the amount of customers that come in. We've waited over 10 minutes to get our drink orders taken, even longer to try to get our food orders taken. We were not checked on after receiving our food to make sure everything was good. I think there is a percentage added on the ticket if you pay with a card. This has happened to us a few times so it's not just a single bad experience. The food has been great every time. We haven't had anything was bad. I do find the price for the eggs benedict to be over priced since it does not come...

It's a legit sports bar. Nice mix of bar, high-top, low-top and booth seating. A few pool tables and darts at the back. Waitress was attentive and knew the menu.

Food - it's a pub, I liked it and thought it was good value for the price. We will come back to try other things - my comments are being a bit picky given that.

Beer was cold.

Mexican Martini was okay - needed more brine and jalapeno-olives.

We tried the triple-dip appetizer. Generous serving of generic, but heated, chips. Red salsa was over blended - flavor was just heat and tomato flavor - it needed some other notes. Froggy sauce is a jalapeno ranch dip which was pretty good but would have benefitted from more ranch flavor. Queso was tasty and we ate all of it.

Pub Burger was on point! Best thing for the night - fresh toasted bun and a fresh patty!
