Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Victoria

Saturday, april,5,2025 Victoria, tx. Went to Long John Silvers to give them. Second try, was worst than first time. Placed order at menu board and drove up to window, young girls were definitely worried about everything else but the customer, laughing giggling as if they were in high school class. Got our food and then proceeded to go to the sonic to grab a drink and then eat. When I opened my box of food, we'll was disappointed, sadly food service, food hadn't changed, my chicken strips were refried, looked like twice( see pictures) ,fish was edible, then came the coleslaw(again see pictures) ,coleslaw resembled some type of soupy maonaise with some slivers of cabbage mixed in,,,,again not edible. My husband's food was Lil better than mine, he shared his chickens strip with me, but his waffle fries he got were old, again, not fresh, needless to say we have lost all hope in long john silvers, only thing that was on point was thier...

The food was mediocre. The service was slow. We stood at the counter and waited about 10 minutes for someone to come and take our order. We were not greeted with a friendly smile or any sort of welcome. The order taker/employee seemed disgruntled about having to take our order. It only took a few minutes to bag it all up, take our money and then....dun dun dun....we asked for ketchup. They had NO KETCHUP! They also were down to the last 2 packets of tartar sauce. This is Long John Silvers for crying out loud! No ketchup or tartar sauce? Really? We were distracted by the "no ketchup" thing so we started backing out when my husband asked for his slaw first. The slaw was not in the bag. So back in he went to retrieve his slaw and eating utensils to find there were no napkins. This is a brand new establishment and the second time we encountered no ketchup....

Fish and more.... I love me some LJ Silver's, always have. That flaky white Atlantic Cod and crispy batter are the bomb. When it's prepared correctly there's not many other foods in the fast food realm that can compare. When it's prepared incorrectly there aren't too many things worse. Fortunately this location got it right. The fish and more meal with Cole slaw, fries and hush puppies was fresh and perfectly cooked. The slaw at LJS is one of the best anywhere and the fries aren't too bad either. Love their hush puppies too. It seems like there are fewer and fewer of these restaurants around and the older ones are really starting to show there age. If you get a chance to eat at an old school LJS building I would encourage you to do so because they are still doing it the old...
