Update: the manager requested a contact to speak and he was very receptive. We explained what transpired and he was very open to the feedback. We reiterated the food was good, it just needed seasoning and salt to really elevate it. The service switch to the 2nd waitress and the cook messing up the order (which was placed correctly) was the main issue and he is going to address it. When the restaurants mess up, they need to make up for it in some way. Honestly it's hard to find good workers as he reports and we definitely agreed. Many young workers today have really poor work ethics and are on their phones more than their job. He invited us back and we graciously accepted. We heard nothing but WONDERFUL things about gridiron and are more than willing to try again. We were shocked our experience was the opposite of our friends good recommendations. That's good customer service and good a good manager. Review updated to reflect his follow up and acknowledging/correcting the issues. We reiterated, and this was my big one, to please STOP using the mini bottles for ranch/dipping sauce since they canceled out the whole purpose for dipping appetizers with. That was my biggest pet peeve. He said their are saucers for that and will review that. We thanked him for that crime against the appetizers. š he was cool. When prices have gone up, the food and service needs to match that as well. He's a good manager!
We ate their for our 1st time. We started with mozzarella sticks n onion rings. The batter was nice n light but very bland, breading needed seasoning n flavor bigtime. Same with mozzarella sticks. No parmesan, herbs or flavor on the breading. Appetizers were meh. Then my cauliflower pizza came out wrong (reg.crust) which they remade. They switched waitresses (1st was great) second waitress brought my friends personal pep. pizza and stated it was cauliflower. He ordered Reg. Crust. We were confused as it seems they were reversed. It got sorted out and the crust was correct. The Pepperoni pizza was Really greasy. Overall the food was ok, it just needed more flavor. After our main dishes came out, we never saw the waitresses or other staff ever again. We had to approach them and ask for salt 1st, then boxes so we could leave. The waitress staff were on their phones texting vs working. We were basically on our own after the food came out. I think they forgot we were there honestly which was crazy because the place was empty. Overall we won't be going back. The Food needs way more flavor. Just fyi, The 1st woman who took our order and started to serve us was wonderful. We wish she didn't leave. The other waitresses appeared like they just did not want to be there. One more thing, the ranch comes in a half size squeeze bottle that looks you'd use when your dying your hair. Please use ramikens or plastic cups. It's Very inconvenient and eliminates the whole purpose of dipping appetizers. The bottle was just a big no no. The ranch also needed more flavor/zest. The Price was good. Overall the pizza was ok. They didn't even offer to make up for using the wrong crust and delaying the pizza order in any way. We paid, tipped 15% and went home. Not returning. Was just disappointing. I think if the main waitress stayed we would have had a much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy co-workers and I are regulars at your establishment. We enjoy the excellent food that you serve. My experiences have on the most part been very positive coming here with the exception of sometimes waiting for the food to come out, but I understand because those times have been packed with people. Today, however, six of my coworkers, including myself, walked in at 11:40 AM and stood by the cash register, watching a slender young brunette working in the back. She was very busy working, and there was another young lady standing next to her, doing absolutely nothing. At first I thought, maybe they were cross training, but the conversation had nothing to do with work. Both ladies observed that my co-workers and I, along with some other different person, were waiting at the register, and they said absolutely nothing. I walked over more towards the center of the establishment and asked how long it would be before somebody would help us. The slender brunette who was busy working said, yeah, I will be there shortly. Another 10 minutes went by. The lady was steady working no doubt, but she is continuing to talk to the other girl who is doing absolutely nothing, just standing there. Then one of my coworkers, ten minutes later, went to ask again, how much longer till we get some help. The lady doing the work said she wasn't sure, that it's gonna be a while, maybe even a long while. If she knew that from the beginning, why didn't she come over and explain that they were busy, and that it was gonna be a while, instead of wasting twenty plus minutes of our time, just standing there, paying us no mind ??? Whoever schedules the manpower to work should have more people working during lunch time, or train the workers to have better customer service and communication skills & explain what's happening to the customers in line. Today was a big turn off, especially having a big group who were all hungry. Again, love your food and atmosphere, but today's service...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo on a random whim we stopped by gridiron pizza after leaving the fairgrounds, we had heard great things but hadnāt had a chance to stop in before. Well we were definitely not disappointed!!! This is like a hidden gem!!! The inside is really cool, there are lights that illuminate the bottom of the bar top and some of the tables, tvs everywhere to watch your favorite games on and a nice twist on classic and modern decor which reminded my fiancĆ© and I of the Places we have enjoyed in the midwest! We were greeted by breanna and she helped us pick out a table and showed us the menu and showed us where to orderā¦. After several minutes she came back by to check on us and asked if we had any questions or if she could take our order so we wouldnāt need to walk up to the counter⦠it was super thoughtful and helpful!! When we ordered she found us a combo that had everything we were looking for, large pizza, wings, fries, sauces and soda then we added two draft beers! We loved the ice cold schooners that our drafts came in and all the food came hot and quick!! The pizza was AMAZING and the wings were huge with an amazing breading on them that crunched with every bite!!! Breanna came and checked on us several times and made us feel welcome and at home! I personally work in the food service industry and I greatly appreciated how this establishments employees work! They are friendly, thoughtful and attentive! We were also checked on by Stephanie who was also such a joy to meet!! She informed us about their delivery to ANYWHERE in the high desert which was great to learn! These employees made our visit special and the cooks did an incredible job with our food! We will definitely be back again soon, and highly recommend this place as the best pizza establishment in the...
