I've been going to this restaurant for such a long time and it's so great. And the reason I say it's great it's because it's just this little kind of fast food Mexican place but you can go in there and for a really reasonable price. I mean you can get like a three item combo and a soda and it's really good food there tamales are good they're tacos are really really good that's my favorite thing there is a shredded beef tacos. A long time ago I used to use the laundromat across the street and I put my clothes in the washer and then walk over and get tacos and go back and eat my food while I waited for my clothes... nowadays I still go there just to get food and I love it that they're open 24 hours because sometimes I work late and I get off work at 2:00 in the morning and I can drive through and get myself a taco or something. I've read some of the comments talking about it taking too long but you got to realize this is not Taco Bell or del Taco the stuff is not ready made when you order a shredded beef taco they are frying that shell for you they're putting the meat inside everything's being assembled fresh and if you order a breakfast burrito those eggs are not microwaved in a weird little rubber tray they're actually cracking them and putting them on a flat top and cooking them for you. I mean it's like restaurant quality it's a restaurant food it's not quick fast food so I don't know. I think it's the perfect combination of both you know you can drive through and get your food and a reasonable amount of time with the quality of a sit-down restaurant so you can't go wrong and their prices are really good even when everybody else's raising their prices like crazy there's have stayed pretty reasonable which I appreciate. And the shredded beef tacos are just such a great value they put a lot of meat in them the tortillas they use for the shell are really nice and they're green salsa is so good. Dang it now I want to go get something to eat but I need to go...
Read moreFirst time getting food from here. Simply too bland. The carne asada isn't really carne asada. It's a different cut of meat and was absolutely bland. No flavor at all. It looked like little gray chucks of meat. The sopes de carne asada and carne asada fries had no flavor. Cheddar yellow orange cheese was on the sopes instead of queso fresco or cotija. Even with their salsa verde poured all over it, the sopes still had no flavor. Only the tast of refried beans. The sopes itself tasted as if they were refried or left out for too long on the counter before frying. The carne asada fries was questionable. Just the same as the sopes. The avocado turned blackish by the time we got home with our food. I've never seen that before. I know that avocados oxidize but like that, no. I should've taken pictures. Half of it was thrown away. Torta de asada, same thing, bland. A quarter of it tossed out too. The burrito de pastor was better than everything else. Agua de piña and horchata, was disappointing as well. Nothing to get too excited about. I guess I'm just used to having real agua de piña (not powdered or a synthetic version) and semi sweet horchata from other Mexican restaurants or trucks. Overall, I'll pass and get my Mexican...
Read moreI liked the location on Mariposa & Bear Valley Rd, so I thought I'd give this location a go. However, I was somewhat disappointed. There wasn't a clearly marked speaker at the menu, so I drove right passed it, and when I got to the window, the lady said that they were "too busy" and that I'd have to pull around again. When I did, I ordered and then pulled straight up to the window.
We ordered a total of three burritos, and they were only okay. We took them home (less than a minute drive) and they were already lukewarm by the time we got into them. I had a lengua burrito, and the meat didn't really have any flavor to it. It was nice and soft, but that was about it. I needed to put a lot of salsa on it to get any kind of flavor.
We also got too Carne asado burritos, wet. The sauce they used was okay, but lacked any real flavor profile. The meat was again, on the bland side, but the salsa they gave us helped with that.
To wash down our meals, we got some horchata, but it must have been a powdered mix or something, because it was way too sweet, and didn't have the cinnamon kick that good horchata has.
From now on, I'll be sticking to their...
