I've been going here on and off for the last decade and the quality of food has never changed, always fresh ingredients etc. Customer service and communication needs development. I was charged for an item I did not receive and communicated this. Damian who assisted me in this matter let me know that I could apply the amount as a credit for future orders since they could not refund me the money (stupid). I tried to redeem the amount a month later since I don't go to this restaurant often as the food is expensive and could lead to potentially hypertension if consumed regularly. Anyway, I was on the phone for over 15 minutes going back and forth with clueless ppl that could not find where it was noted that I had a credit. The teenager I assume that was asking what to do could not assist me and or give clarity on why I was told I could not have the credit as promised and that I needed to come back the day of, which that was never communicated with me. NO ONE in this restaurant could assist me, the manager was on break and no one knew what to do. Additionally the restaurant is small, parking lot is garbage with potholes through the drive threw that can and will destroy your car. Very disappointed with the service especially spending 50$ on a meal for two ppl. Tried to support a local business and didn't make a big fuss about not getting a refund and wait to use it at a later time. Check your food before you leave and your receipt. No point in calling and verifying meals if your going to screw it up anyway and not have a clear standard on how to go about these issues. Had the amount not been worth a burger, no biggy. Just check everything before you leave or don't bother fighting about your hard...
Read moreI have been titillated for far too long by Apollo Restaurant’s Instagram posts and how they grind their own burger meat to create culinary masterpieces (with clever names to match) so my expectations were exceptionally high. Today we were celebrating my birthday and the wife decided to take me out to taste these renowned high desert burgers. Needless to say, my high expectations were shattered. The establishment itself is small in size but it delivers big in the flavor department. When my wife and I arrived we were greeted warmly by the two fellas running the front of the house. From then on I knew this was going to be a great experience. My better half ordered the Baby Boy Roy with a side of Lil Kim fries and I ordered a Boss Hog with a regular order of chili cheese fries. My Boss Hog was arguably one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was cooked to a perfect medium well doneness and piled as high as physics and gravity would allow. My wife’s sliders were tangy and delicious, but her favorite part of the meal was the Lil Kim fries which surprisingly enough looked better than they did in the picture on the website. Most fast food joints throw ingredients together and serve you a sloppy version of what’s marketed. Not here. The hard work and talent in the kitchen is notable when your order arrives at your table crafted beautifully and tasty as ever. My wife and I drove up from Fontana to finally satiate our itch for these amazing burgers and now it seems we’ll have to come back because nothing else equals this kind of quality and flavor. The excellent customer service and welcoming environment were the cherry on top. We will definitely...
Read moreI really do not understand the hype on this burger joint. I get and appreciate the fact that they make everything from scratch. They use 3 cuts of beef and grind they're own meat. All ingredients used are fresh. They even make all of their own sauces. But that is where the pro's end for me. Their food is mediocre at best and charge a premium for it.
I've given this place 2 visits. The 2nd visit was an opportunity for Apollo's to redeem themselves in my opinion but ended up being the same experience as the first.
Burgers are not great or even better than average. Fries aren't very tasty either. My wife had their chili cheese fries with pastrami and it was a large portion but a let down. Chili was not tasty and pastrami was salty.
The five of us had 2 burger combos, one chili cheese fries, one grilled cheese combo and my son only had a buffalo fries an it came out to $68 and some change. Wow! I felt like it was a total waste of money. We usually all have combos at In-n-Out for around $40 and it is extremely tasty. I do not mind paying for expensive meals when I end my meal and the flavor has put I smile on my face and a sense of satisfaction in my stomach.
I feel bad bashing this establishment and love supporting local businesses but I just can't see the value in this place. And even if prices dropped to In-n-Out prices I would still have a hard time coming back as non of my family members enjoyed their meal. Sorry Apollo's but flavor department needs major improvement to justify...
