This restaurant was my very 1st job when I was 15. I don't usually stop here being they serve mostly fried fish & it's not something I eat regularly. My dad is the one who loves fish like that so we stopped 2 get him lunch. When I walked in it looked that same as 30yrs ago, it doesn't seem like they care 2 much 2 update the style or the food. To me the food is bland without much seasoning or flavor, they have a limited menu, the food isn't that great, the staff doesn't seem 2 act as if they care whether your satisfied or not. It wasnt a very friendly or pleasant experience. It's not somewhere I would say to someone, hey let's go eat here. Until they take some pride in their business and the staff becomes more friendly and inviting I don't think I'll be stopping by 2 buy my dad lunch again anytime soon. It could be a better place 2 eat if the owners would put some wrk into the appearance of the building, update the food selection on the menu sometimes and staff it with employee who take pride in their jobs or retrain the ones they have. It's not that they did anything intentionally rude it's that they did nothing at all 2 make my dining experience one that would make me wanot 2 go there again. They would have 2 make things right with my last stop first.
P.S. Reply to feedback frm owner, if your company truly appreciated our opinions and comments and were concerned about the poor experiences of the customers when we tell you about how poor quality the food was served to us, the poor and unclean conditions of the restaurant like the mold and stuff which upset me having my 2yr 9ld daughter with me and not wanting her near that you as a business owner should compensate me as a paying customer who was very disappointed and unhappy with what I paid for and the environment of the restaurant. Nobody wants to sit in a dirty restaurant with staff who act like they don't care whether you eat there or not. If satisfaction of your customers is important to you when one like myself has an experience like this in your restaurant you should ask the owner try to reach out to the customer and offer compensation in forms of a gift voucher to use on a meal, discount coupons, vouchers or something of the sort to show me as a customer that my business is appreciated because without us customers you have no business. You are a customer service business that your profits come from us, so if your customer base begins to wean off due to the quality of your food and service and you as an owner never do anything to compensate our bad experience eventually you're not going to have enough of a customer base to keep the doors open. It's not like people are lining up to eat here now. I haven't seen this restaurant buay like it use 2 be in yrs. So as a disappointed customer and a paying one I feel you owe me compensation for...
Read moreThis visit was mediocre at best! The food was warm--NOT hot. When we tried placing our drink orders, we were simply told that there was no ice. I replied that normally fountain drinks are a little cool, so we'd like some anyway. Boy, do I wish I'd heeded the warning because the sodas were hot and FLAT!!! Next, the intercom was set on some VERY OLD recording because when my friend heard Casey Kasem reading off the "current" hits, he exclaimed, "I didn't know he was still alive! I thought he had passed away?" All I could do was laugh since clearly he was not paying attention to the music being played. So I pointed out, what I thought was the obvious by asking of the song that had just come on, "When was the last time you heard the Fat Boys and Chubby Checker out with current music or a top 10 hit?" (LMBO) But the kutagara was the apparent mold and/or mildew (see pics) that was overrunning the place and looked to be assisting in the deterioration of the building!!!!! That's when I wanted to run; however, they were hungry and ate fast. So the moral of this experience is, never work all day without eating, then go somewhere starving...
Read moreI was sadly disappointed on my last visit here...they were completely out of the first thing I tried to order so I had to settle for the "Deluxe Seafood Platter"... Why they call it this, I have no idea! There was 2 pieces of fish, 5 fried shrimp coleslaw and hush puppies on the plate, there was no drink involved in the meal deal, the food was only slightly warm (definitely not hot), the employees were somewhat rude and unaccommodating and the meal was $9.78 before tax and like I said, that's without a drink! I asked for cocktail sauce and they gave me 7 of them and charged me $.25 for each one...😒 All in all, the food tasted decent but not decent enough to overlook the price, the downfalls and the employees' attitudes! I give it a 3 out...
