Cinema Tavern — Restaurant in Villa Rica

We recently moved within walking distance to the bar and began frequenting the establishment. One bar tender in particular clearly doesn’t want to work there, complains about patrons, their job, the bar, the owner and has a horrible attitude. I wrote it off the first time bc we all have bad days. The next time, not only was the bar closing 2hrs early, she complained about there being patrons upstairs, and told us when we entered at half past 10 that the kitchen was already closed. After playing pool for almost 2hrs we were hungry and door dashed food. She then complained to my partner about it and said the owner would be mad at her if he saw it on the cameras. Respectfully, we love the food there and spend at least $60-80 every time we come (and would love to have ordered food at the bar instead), and we enjoy the cooks, but if I were the owner I’d be less worried about door dash and more worried about my bar closing early, the kitchen closing early, and my staff having such a bad attitude that they run patrons off. Not impressed. 1st time here, and a clearly drunk and obnoxious big group next to us broke glasses and one of the males made a scene and started a big altercation with several of the female staff members which disrupted the facility, seemed as if he was about to throw hands at a female, but yet the table continued to be served alcohol multiple times after?! They clearly should have been cut off. Table service was slow even though plenty of tables were empty, but we quite often saw 2 or 3 of the same waitstaff just standing around. 2 of the waitresses there seemed to be working hard, but not the others. Food wasn't anything to remember. Live band was "ok" but spent far more time taking breaks than actually playing any music. I think they played about 11 songs in the 3 hours that we were there. We were stuck listening to some kind of random Playlist most of the night... Can't comment on how well drinks are made since I didn't have one. Might give it another try and update my rating if needed, but not a great first...

Its really too dark in there. I know its a theme thing but you cant barely see what your eating. Service this time was terrible. Took forever to place our order and it was only 5:30.

Ordered an appetizer and 2 of the meals were brought before the app, then the app and then 10 min later the 3rd dinner came. The coleslaw was so watery the waitress spilled it on my hubs leg and all over the floor. I mentioned the coleslaw was not good and the waitress said "oh sorry".

Hubs ordered the special, mac & cheese with crispy chicken. He didnt like it at all but wouldnt say anything. My Reuben was ok, I asked for light sourkraut and there was a bunch on there. Tiny portion of fries on my meal and my daughters chicken sandwich that she didnt much care for.

The app was pretzel bites and queso, $10 for about 12 little balls of pretzel. Queso was tasty.

Also some people prefer a regular table not the tall ones. Should really have more than 1 reg table. There was no special on Friday night like the last...
