DISAPOINTED
on a Friday night March 2025 at 6 pm there was no other dinners but my party of four that was invited to join us from Douglasville.
The wait was over 25 minutes, the food came room temperature. We asked for rib tips and got rib SLICES. We asked for a double order of rice, they only had one rice order to give us. ( they ran out)
They have fine dinning prices that are way too high for the backyard atmosphere. There was no live music or a radio on. If so, you could not here it at all.
You have to eat with a child's plastic spoon/fork eating out of a plastic dollar store backyard plate.
There are no cups at all and they give you paper straws for your purchased drinks.
The cost is too much for this backyard family style meal.
We were very disappointed to bring friends to this restaurant and receive such low value food , cold meal for a high price.
Oh, the server, Joe is nice and the cook checks on you to make sure you are not mad at him.
Yes we are mad at you. Sir.
Good points: The pork and chicken have a good taste.
The sides are okay and the waffle corn bread is very good. However, the piece is so small...one bite and it's gone.
This place is not worth the money at all.
Mind you, this was my...
Read moreThis place just smells great when you walk in, if you didn't know when you got here you definitely know now that it is a BBQ joint. And a DAMN GOOD BBQ joint at that. It is a newer place and it is clean, well lit and has an inviting atmosphere. I ordered the St LouisStyle Rib plate with the Honey Gold sauce. The ribs are meaty and have are juicy and super tender. The Honey Gold sauce is amazing, sweet with a bit of tang. I hesitated getting the slaw as it is chopped and I prefer shredded slaw, but this was a very coarse chop and had great texture to it, I always have to add salt to my slaw as I eat it but the dressing was very good. The rice was cooked well and nicely seasoned.
As I was cashing out, I saw the cookies, and when I say cookies i mean COOKIES!! They are huge about 7-8 inches across and I could have split it with my wife and kids, but they aren't here so I took it to go and will eat it at the hotel (which means now). It is not overcooked so it is somewhat soft and very good, chocolate chip and a caramel type icing on it. (I'll be taking a sugar coma after eating this..)
I am happy this place opened up as now I have a new place to go. Again it is on my definitely go back to list of places...
Read moreFirst of all—if you’re on a diet, just know… you’re about to blow it. And honestly? It’ll be worth every bite.
I’d heard the buzz about this BBQ spot in Villa Rica, and as someone married to an Alabama native and raised by a Texan dad, I was skeptical. We take BBQ seriously in this household—no oven ribs allowed.
But let me tell you, these rib tips? Tender, juicy, and packed with real SMOKE flavor—capital S. The kind that lets you know they’ve been on a proper pit, not in someone’s kitchen oven. The BBQ sauce even had a golden tint like it came from a treasure chest.
Mac n’ cheese was creamy and seasoned just right, baked beans were solid, and the heart-shaped cornbread waffle? Moist, adorable, and a nice touch.
Now, let’s talk cookies. I grabbed one of the cookie butter chocolate chip cookies at the counter. BIG mistake—not because it wasn’t good, but because I only got one. It was soft, warm, and borderline addictive. I’m still mad the co-owner didn’t warn me to get two! (don’t mind the pic of the cookie, I had eaten 1/2 of it before I took the pic, lol)
If you’re after legit BBQ with real smoke flavor and a little Southern charm, this place is a solid 10/10....
