Ben & Jerry’s — Restaurant in Village/Town of Mount Kisco

This store has been on a consistent decline over the years. I used to love it many years ago. I haven't been in several years after I realized the consistency of the ice cream over several visits was freezer burn. I figured after a bunch of years, they must've fixed this. They haven't, it's icy.

The workers are rude and look like they don't want to deal with you. I said to the girl that I had a question about a menu item and she fell silent and looked annoyed. I just went ahead and filled the awkward silence with my question. The girl also insisted we go online an make an order and did not want to take our order verbally, where I had to fill out a bunch of nonsense instead of a simpler interaction.

Thus far, this is the only ice cream place during COVID that actually separates all the ingredients of a sundae, which is completely absurd and inconvenient. They are wasting more resources and making it a project for me. The sundae was just lousy with their freezer burn ice cream, watery whipped cream, and half the hot fudge stuck to a plastic cup.

Suffice to say, after giving this place enough chances, we are never returning here.

On a side note, it's unfortunate they stopped making fresh core pints with either fudge or caramel. I'm assuming this is a franchise decision, not store, so I don't blame this location for that. It was their best item. And it must be long gone, because the girl had no idea what I was talking about, and she made sure I felt like some weirdo for asking with her obnoxious, slow...

I used to love this Ice Cream and this shop but I am tired of Ben & Jerry's corporate politics. I have no complaints against this shop in particular and certainly not their employees but when I come here, I just want to have ice cream ... not get involved with their sometimes toxic and always self-righteous politics. Basic Ben and Jerry’s place. Run by high school and college students. They are all very friendly and very helpful. The place is always clean and has all the popular flavors you would want. They also make cakes and smoothies. There is enough seating for several people to sit and relax. They also have the cow couch in the front. Kids love this and you usually see kids lounging on it.
