It might have just been a bad night, but the experience felt borderline discriminatory. 1. Reservations – I booked a table for 6:30, but when I arrived it wasn’t ready. They sat me at the bar, and 30 minutes later I found out the host assumed I was already seated. When I confronted her, she seemed nervous and unsure how to handle it. 2. Host – My guests were never greeted when they arrived; they ended up seating themselves. Thankfully we had rooftop reservations, otherwise it would have been worse. 3. Service – The only consistent attention we received was from Whitney, the water server. Our actual server barely approached the table and seemed visibly uncomfortable around us. As a result, once we finished our drinks, no one checked if we wanted another round. 4. Food – Two guests ordered the same chicken sandwich, yet the fries were served differently — as if they ran out and tried to disguise it. The sangria was mostly ice, making it watered-down wine at best. Mike, the owner, did apologize for the night and was genuinely kind. He offered two free desserts and said he would take care of the mistakes on the bill. But when the bill arrived, we were charged for everything. Yes, we’re a YOUNGER crowd, but we came prepared to spend , this was my friend’s last night in the States. Instead, it was a pathetic, overhyped experience that left a bad taste in more ways than one. The extra star is for Whitney.

Last evening we went to Goodhouse in MTK and it was excellent. The MTK September fall fair was in full bloom, the evening air was summer/fallish, a perfect evening to stroll. Goodhouse just opened in July and has been building a solid foundation that will be the right path toward success. 1) The three levels project three different ambiances that provide customers with changes to the mood. The open balcony view is really great and with the fall foliage in the next 4 weeks it will be the place to be. 2) The food was simply amazing. Great tastes, awesome quality and more than fair portions. The choices are wide for the finicky and the the explorer. We had the "Parker" rolls which were buttery and flaky, we also enjoyed the Tuna tartar, and the shared the halibut. To top it off we shared the olive oil cake with a vanilla bean ice cream and this amazing chocolate cookie milk shake. 3) The atmosphere is great for large parties or intimate "date night". 4) I am looking forward to the music that will be a great addition and the Sunday brunches. Owner Mike was great and spent a lot of time with us...not smothering but it was really nice to get his vision and history.... Big 5 star...

I’ve been to Goodhouse several times now. I love live music and great cocktails and I have found both there. I am so happy to see the evolution of their food and service which get better every time I go. Last night the food was absolute on point, especially the Halibut which is one of the best Halibut dishes I’ve had. The Yellowfin Tina Crudo was perfect and the Superfly Crispy Chicken Sandwich with Happy Fries is always a go to for me. The service from Jodi and Leo was excellent. They were quick and attentive and made the experience excellent. The hospitality at Goodhouse is second to none. I look forward to going back...
