M&R Deli — Restaurant in Village/Town of Mount Kisco

I have gotten Mnr deli for years years and I have to say I am very dissatisfied and disappointed the amount of times mnr had messed up my orders dealing with the same worker and I was charged multiple times extra for stuff not even in my sandwich not to mention they just make the prices up as they go you can buy something from there one day the next day it’s more or less it’s ridiculous no professionalism dealing with the same person always messes up my order always has a nasty disrespectful attitude So I asked to speak to the manager, which I believe his name is Matthew never had a problem with the guy but he refused to give me the name of the person so that I can make a complaint about them. I have worked in food services before and no matter what we make sure the customer gets the right order always with the best customer service. I really have to say, Mnr has turned into trash in the past years Sandwiches. I’ve ordered been undercooked on top of all this. I would never go to Mnr deli again Nor would I recommend anybody to go there I’m gonna tell everybody that’s in my friend group and family to not go there since they get the orders wrong all the time undercooked the food and charge you different prices every single day when they see it’s the same person in order in the same thing. I walked in and asked the woman behind the counter, whom I later learned, is Carolyn, if they made Italian subs. She, of course, said yes, and I proceeded to ask if she had gabagool/capicola. I was so proud I said it right. I revealed to her that this was a new word for me, and we laughed that I said it right. Then I asked it she was going to out Swiss on it and she said, " Swiss?, you were doing so well and the. You had to say Swiss? No, provolone, of course!" And again, we laughed. I noticed that the patrons knew the owner and that he knew them pretty well. This warmed my heart. This is what America should feel like. I don't know much about Mt Kisco, but it felt good. Before I got to pay, Carolyn said next time you have to try some banana peppers or even hot peppers. Then another young lady who worked there said, " Whatever she tells you to eat,just do it, she's never wrong when it comes to food. She got me to eat lettuce, and I hated lettuce!" This was one of the beast sandwiches I'd ever had. Like it was made out of love. I ordered an Italian here, with extra mayo, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, and OMG! Perhaps the best "old school" deli in Westchester County. Nothing fancy here -- just great food served by pros who take pride in being the best sandwich shop in the area. I recently ordered a prosciutto and salami with fresh mozzarella, and both hot and sweet peppers. My mind was blown from the first bite to the last. Close your eyes and you're biting into a sammy from the glory days of Author Avenue in the Bronx or Little Italy in Manhattan. This place is a treasure.
