Ordered food tonight for delivery and it arrived 30 minutes late. I initially called at 15 minutes and was assured the food was on the way and the guy just had multiple deliveries and was running behind. I expressed my concerns with the food potentially being cold as who knows how long it would have been sitting with the delivery guy or how long it just sat at the restaurant before going out for delivery and was assured it would be fine. Well when it did arrive the Crab Rangoon’s were cold not to my surprise. Tried calling restaurant 3 times and the phone hung up on me. Called a 4th time from a different phone and answered right away. The lady I spoke to was not friendly and told me she had other customers she needed to attend to in store and she was not going to handle this. Making it seem my delivery order was less important than the people she was handling in restaurant. I told her that thought I was just as important as the other guests and she simply laughed on the phone at me. Eventually offered to refund the rangoons but I told her at this point we didn’t know how safe the food even was to eat anymore and would like a refund. I told her she could send the driver back out even to get the food as we haven’t eaten any of it and we’re not going to at this point. She refused to offer anything else. She ended up hanging up the phone on me and here we sit with cold food (the crab Rangoons temped at 80 degress) well below what is considered food safe for hot holding food so I question how long the rest of our order was just sitting out before finally being delivered. Initially I would have been fine with them discounting or remaking the order (which at no point was ever offered) however the way I was treated on the phone we will no longer will be going/ordering here in the future.
Side note, we ordered thru chow now who contacted Shanghai grill and this is what the lady told them when they attempted to get a refund for me.
“Please also note that the store mentioned if you require on-time delivery, you might consider placing another order at a different restaurant, as they cannot guarantee on-time delivery due to a busy schedule and various factors that could affect delivery times.”
“If you still wish to place an order at their store, they mentioned that you can place an order for pickup but not for delivery if you require on-time delivery.”
Two thumbs down tonight for this place, they clearly won’t stand behind their delivery times so be careful, you might get cold food but it’s not...

Stopped in for dinner to give the place another try. 3 tables in the restaurant including me. Placed a sushi order then ordered main meal 5 min later. Sushi came out with meal a moderate period of time later. I told the waiter I wanted it as an appetizer when ordering. Meal came out looked nothing like description in the menu or what I ordered (Sambal Chicken). I motioned waiter over to discuss if this was Sambal Chicken, he said yes. The meal I had had pineapple, onions, peppers, mushrooms and chicken in a plain flavorless sauce. Sambal chicken is supposed to be a spicy dish based of red chilis herbs and spices. The description in the menu even says this. Attached is a photo of what I received, defined not Sambal Chicken. Now I feel taken advantage of again because the previous review makes since now. Might as well just get rid of the menu and tell customers you get what we give you. Made a comment at checkout, waitress didn’t know how to address it, just said oh. Used to be the place to go, now I’ve had too bad experiences back to back I won’t be back.

2 years ago I left an amazing review, fresh food flavor delicious. Recently I’ve ate here in my visits to the area for work over the last couple months. The food is lacking flavor, the bourbon chicken is just brown sauce, was not flavorful and evident it was the incorrect sauce. They have made the dining room smaller and have removed the buffet. Note: I’m not the only customer that has mentioned the buffet, others say the same when they enter. This used to be the best buffet in town for lunch, now it’s nonexistent. Read moreI'm from Saint Paul Minnesota and have only lived in Schofield for a week, so I'm comparing this to places I've been to around the Twin Cities. It is the most thoroughly "meh" buffet I've ever been to. I saw the ratings online so I figured I'd have to check this place out.
Me and my roommate went to the lunch buffet, which was a very reasonable price at 7 dollars. Then it went downhill. The noodles were way too salty, just dripping in soy sauce and whatever mixture they had it in. Their sushi was really bland and tasteless, although I may have thought that because the noodles were so incredibly salty that it just made everything else taste like nothing. Then again, it was the first time I've ever had sushi with sour cream in it. That was a surprise, not a good one.
The broccoli and beef was overcooked. the meatballs were slightly burnt so they were kind of hard. The egg drop soup was average, not great, not bad. The fact that they had ice cream in tubs actually surprised me, and I thought that was kind of cool, but two flavors were empty and I didn't really like the other two (I think one was cotton candy and I can't remember what the other was).
