Tried their salad( which comes with garlic bread ), and their meat lovers pizza based on the recommendation of one of our friends. And wow, we're we surprised . Salad is whatever to me , garlic bread was good and has that homemade feel about it. The pizza is what really got us. While the size of the pizza is pretty big, the topping that come with it is what filled you. Each bite of the pizza comes with a good chunk of every topping the pizza have. Unlike chain pizza place , where the more toppings you order the less there is it seems, this place seems to do the opposite. One of our party member is a big eater which can finish a 10" pizza by himself , but even he can't handle finishing 2 of the large slice they got (after 2 cheese bread slice). And for me , 2 slice of cheese bread and one slice of the pizza fills me up . Our first bite of the pizza justify the price we pay for this meal. Avolios is a nice little Italian restaurant. It has the charm of being cozy but can be a little loud depending on the clients. The food is good with large portions. The small pizza should be enough to feed 2 people as the cheese and toppings are loaded. We have been coming here since they opened for special nights out. Having said that the restaurant is overdue for a refresh. The menu has not changed much in many years and as such the younger generation is not so interested in the the heavy Italian dishes that have been a main stay. It would be great to see some lighter menu items and an update to this nice little restaurant. Ordered to-go on a Saturday night. We phoned in at 5:50 and they said it would be a 35-40 minute wait, so we got there at around 6:40 and they told us 10 more minutes.

We ordered the cheese tortellini with pink sauce and spinach ravioli with pink sauce. The meal came with free garlic bread. Needless to say, the food was yummy and the tortellini portion was generous so I have more than half leftover. I do wish it came with a little more sauce to coat all the tortellini. It came out to be $38 so I would say it’s pretty worth it!

The only thing is that their time estimate is a bit off. Another person came after me to pick up their to-go order after being told it’ll be ready in 45 minutes, but was told they’d have to wait 30 more minutes.
