Ordered 2 breakfast bagel sandwiches online for pickup at 10:37âŚoddly specific time but whatever that was the option. Itâs Sunday morning so I knew itâd be busy so I show up 5-10 mins late. Iâm ignored until I step right in front of an employee to ask for my order. He looks around in the back for a minute or two only to tell me theyâre out of the bagel I ordered my sandwich on. No big deal but a call wouldâve been nice to ask me before I arrived (again, later than I actually ordered it for). He says at least 10 more mins, which tells me they didnât even start nor look at my order until I arrived. So ultimately I get my order 20 mins later than pickup time. It was a good sandwich but not nearly as loaded with bacon as Tonyâs Lunch does it 2 mins down the road. There was 2-3 slices of bacon compared to the 5-6 you get at Tonyâs Lunch.
EDIT: Thanks for the snarky reply, Bagel U! I see in your other replies to reviews that skew negative you are similarly snarky and rude. You deflect problems onto the service you use. Perhaps you could find a new service which can give accurate times for pickup through a more finely tuned algorithm. Or if youâre very much behind you have someone sit down for 5 mins and call people to them theyâll need to wait 20-30 mins more. Not a hard issue to solve, thereâs plenty of PoS systems that probably work better. Outlawâs and Julioâs, two other fine establishments, seem to be on point.    Read moreI was in Bagel U 1/8/25. Bagels were undercooked. I called and I talked with several people about it being the second time I received a bagel that was under cooked. They offered me two replacement bagels and I was satisfied with outcome. I chose to get the replacements 1/9/25 I called ahead so I could get in an out in a timely manner and mentioned yesterdays service was extremely slow.
When I returned on the 9th to get my replacement bagels, the counter server approached me and when I got there it was obvious she told the worker from yesterday that I said she moved very slow while waiting on me. She said, " here are your bagels" and said you said I was slow serving yesterday. I said, "yes, you were and she replied to me, "Well you were slow ordering." in a disrespectful tone. This is very unprofessional.
Then the counter girl said to me âif you always have a problem donât come here.â I said .."always have a problem???
Iâve been coming to Bagel U since 2002, this is the first time Iâve called and complained.
A woman manager came out to talk to me and agreed with her that I ALWAYS complain. I do have special orders sometimes, like crispy bacon or please make sure itâs Swiss (and I will check before I leave) If thatâs a âproblemâ thatâs a shame. The woman in charge took my name and number and said the owner would call me. No one called me.
