I'll begin by saying this place is a definite give it a try for yourself! With that in mind my takeaways: Pros:
I took my family this evening. I was supper excited to try the the grits that come with the 🦀. We attempted ( and I do mean attempted) to order the cheesy grits with the fried fish and the five piece tenders with the crickle cut fries and a mango lemonade. When first placing the order, they stated that they had no lemonade, which was fine no big deal. Then they stated they have no grits that come with any crab period. Which I thought was crazy, because I had looked at the menu prior to driving to the establishment but that was fine. I changed my order.I just got the regular fried fish and grits. Pricewise, my total came up to 36. 00 and left a four dollar tip for the young lady that brought my food to my vehicle. Now upon receiving my order, I noticed that the fries were just regular fries. I did ask the hostess once again, if we could have the crinkle cut as described on their menu, she goes back-and-forth with me. Telling me to check the bag that they're in this container, which would have been separated from the tenders. But they're there. I then, pull out the container and kind of like show her they're not in there. They're just regular fries, she then says, oh, we're out. After having waited longer than the other cars that came after me I figured maybe it's because of my order. Now i want to be very clear that not only did I reiterate the order after it was placed through the drive. I then reiterated it again when I gave her my credit card and then again when she brought the food. I get home Open the platter and it's chicken wings that unfortunately, my child does not eat. grits no chesse but heavy on the cilantro. The fish it...
Read moreWe’re genuinely disappointed to be leaving a negative review, especially because we were so excited about the concept and truly wanted this to be a great experience. Unfortunately, the execution fell short.
To be clear: the concept is fantastic—unique and full of potential. But the execution needs serious attention.
We’re not writing this to hurt the business, but rather to offer honest feedback in hopes that it can help them improve and succeed in this community. • Fries were underwhelming. • Burger was overly salty—honestly, Burger King does it better. • Chicken fingers had promise, but unfortunately tasted like they were fried in the same oil as seafood. As someone with a seafood allergy, this was not only disappointing but concerning. (There was no visible warning or disclaimer about cross-contamination.) I had to take a Benadryl immediately. • Biscuits seemed like they had been left under a heat lamp too long—dry and lacking flavor. • French toast sticks weren’t actually sticks—they hadn’t been cut at all, which just made them awkward to eat. • And perhaps the most surprising letdown: the “fresh lemonade” tasted more like water with a splash of lemon juice. Even a pre-made option like Minute Maid would’ve been a better choice.
We sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively. We want this business to thrive—there’s a great idea here, but the...
