Okay Iām not afraid to tell the truth lets do this! I teach nearby at the Music Studio Atlanta, and today decided to come up to St. Angelos for my lunch. I believe when someone/some place does a good job you tell them, but if they do a phenomenal job they deserve the praise so here it is unbiased. To make this clear and simple. Let me describe the experience in 5 points.
The location itself has an awesome authentic and welcoming atmosphere especially when you walk inside you just know that your about to get some spectacular food. Im a big fan of the different menuās to choose from including monthly specials and specialty favorites. They even highlight some of their weekly in store events like music & trivia to also participate in.
I was welcomed in nicely and upon inspecting the menu loved the layout and worded descriptions of the food items, the menu is huge by the way. If I werenāt a better spender I wanted to try everything they had especially the calzones & cannoli which I never had. Rupesh was the person i spoke to, very friendly, enthusiastic and informative. Iāll tell you what i got in a moment but I was also pleasantly surprised to see pictures or The Music Studio Atlanta owners up on the wall with other St. Angelos members and that itself made me feel even more welcomed and glad to be here.
I ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza which normally in LG size is around $25 but because of this monthās special deal do you know I got my pizza for only $10! I was given a ānewspaperā to browse at while i waited and sat outside rocking to the music playing through the speakers when i saw the paper had information about the business, the full menu including the specials, motivational quotes, and more inside of it. And they are promoting in this paper the studio I teach at including on the to go boxes. They even have a $50 deal included if you sign up for lessons and mention St. Angelos Pizza. Thats pretty awesome! You gotta support support right.
When the pizza came out first thing I noticed is how big it is and i canāt believe i got it all to myself for just $10, it had a shiny glazed crust and looked really good with perfectly placed toppings and all, straight our of a movie. The first bite blew me away! Iām not sure what kind of sauce they use but its good! Rupesh came repeatedly to check on me and assist me as I ate bringing napkins and ranches and such. Im very satisfied, shoot I saved 15 dollars and now have dinner to take home as well which is the whole other half of the pizza, I honestly want to take it back to the studio and let others try it just because of how blown away I was.
Overall this experience has been superb! From the customer service and good attitude by Rupesh and the others working to the environment surrounding the place. The next time i come back which i will be back im bringing someone with me, this place deserves the recognition. Dont be surprised if i become a regular. Hopefully this review does some good, it only feels like a small thing to do when compared to how pleased I was with everything today. Great job guys šš½! Hopefully Iāll see whoever is reading this in my next music lesson with that $50 music lesson...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is the worst run business I've ever visited. While the food is excellent, the overall experience is unacceptable. We order here 2-3 times a month. We usually order online and then go pick it up because we've had so much trouble with delivery (more on that in a moment). This process is not trouble-free either. The restaurant is so chaotic that on more than one occasion, part of our order "disappeared" while we were waiting. This usually leads to an argument between the staff and the kitchen. The kitchen doesn't want to remake it because "it's already been made." It's almost comical until you realize that they won't start remaking your pizza until they finish arguing. Meanwhile, the rest of your order gets cold as it sits there. Now let's discuss delivery, which is just pathetic. The last time we ordered delivery, it was over an hour late arriving. When my wife complained, the delivery driver said, "What do you expect? It's Friday." With that in mind, I ordered at 4:20 pm to beat the rush. I was promised a delivery time of 5:10. At 5:45, I called the restaurant and was immediately placed on hold for 10 minutes! When I finally spoke to someone, I was told, "The GPS shows he'll be there in 3 minutes." That was also incorrect. The pizza finally arrived 15 minutes later - a full hour after the promised delivery time and almost 2 hours after placing the order! If you decide to eat here, I suggest eating on premise. If you decide to pick it up or order delivery, allow an extra hour over and above what they tell you. And don't tip in advance...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSt Angeloās was referred to me by a friend. I went to their website online to order dinner. I ordered directly from them. At 6:10 on a Saturday night, I ordered a small pizza and 2 cans of wine. The order was supposed to be delivered within 60 minutes. My house is less than 2.5 miles away from the restaurant.
More than 90 minutes passed before I called the restaurant to check on the status of my order. I waited 15 minutes before someone came on the line to assist me. When I finally got a chance to give my order number and name, I was told that small 1/2 and 1/2 pizzas are not accepted for delivery and that they tried to call and email me (the manager told me that when she called, she got a disconnected number). I received no emails from them and had no missed calls.
The order confirmation that was emailed after I placed the order showed my correct email, phone number, and address, and it showed that my card was charged. And after I spoke with the manager, I asked her to call me right back to confirm my number worked. She did and I answered immediately.
Itās amazing to me that their online system allowed me to place an order and charged me for it, but that St Angeloās wouldnāt honor what they advertise. I was also surprised at how easily they tried to cover up their false advertising by claiming to call and email me, even though my email inbox and phone inbox had no such messages or missed calls.
Poor service all around. I will stick to my Westside fistfuls and order from Johnnyās and Blue...
