I ordered a happy meal on our way to school, was given code RA36 for drivethru pick up. When I got to the speaker and gave code, he asked me to go to the 2nd window -they can help me there- went to 2nd window, showed my app, she said to go to the pick up window, thats where mgrs are. I get to the pick up window and I'm told order didn't go through. I show the app says order was paid and I sign on my bank, the payment is showing as pending. The girl walks away and comes back with a pic of a screen and shows me a box that says something about a conversation failing?? No idea what this means but I have the order on my app and it says paid and the bank shows the payment. I also get an emailed receipt with each order and I got that. At this point I thought I was already dealing with a mgr but another woman walks up and says my card was declined. I don't know to laugh or be offended- my card certainly did not decline. Ive shown the app, McDs email and my bank all say paid. Then she tells me that charge will probably be refunded. Again -what??? I said I just need the happy meal, I need to get her to school- she asked if I want her to charge me because my payment didnt come through. My mind is blown! Then she says theres a line can you pull up to the next window? Absolutely not. Shes not saying they will bring the happy meal so why would I pull up there with a 5 yr old and an 8 mo old in my car -to sit and wait on help that would never come?! She was acting angry instead of apologetic or helpful and the employees found it humorous. Finally yet another worker brought a happy meal and asked what drink. In the end, I guess I got what I paid for, with A LOT of rudeness, humiliation, and wasted time from an unprofessional and confrontational so called manager. Read moreUpdate: 12/9/24 The new updated interior is nice, but it comes with a major drawback. The new design promote the staff to ignore the front counter. I refuse to use the self help kiosk due to personal reasons. With the drink station gone as well, what used to take about a minute to get my drink, fill and go, has now become sometimes a wait up to 5-7 minutes. Unacceptable.
Depending on the time of day, you can get excellent service or pathetic service. Some employees own their job and it shows. Others show that they don't really care and often ignore you at the front counter inside.
The food is not always consistent. The Sweet tea is always an issue as well as some days it taste like soap (in the past, not recently since multiple complaints about it) and now it is often watered down. Yesterday, my sweet tea looked almost like clear water with a hint of tea.
Avoid the weekends inside. They are often short handed and employees are yelling at each other, including the manager instead of leading them.
Edit: over the past few months, I have been coming back here due to the new management and ownership. They really cleaned up the place, food/sweet tea is more consistent and overall, the experience is enjoyable to the point I stop most mornings for Tea. I adjusted my ratings to reflect the new experienceked
Edit#2: The management keeps the morning crew in check and the place is usually very clean. Evenings are still a different issue but better than they use to be. The biggest issue I see today is all the employees park in the closest parking spots to the door forcing majority of the guests to walk from the back of the lot get visit the lobby. That being said here is my review: I just stopped by today because I was early to work and I was told by two people, an employee and a customer(a woman wearing all black in a black SUV) telling me I couldn't back into a parking space near the entrance when I just watched the woman do it herself and I have even have some dashcam footage of it happening. Likewise the employee eerily walked out from the opposite side of the restaurant(he never saw me pull in) and immediately walked towards me. I tried to explain the reason I was waiting was because as soon as I pulled up 4 cars came from the other direction and I was waiting for them to leave before I attempted to back into the space.
I used to frequent this McDonald's because it is on my way to work and about 90 percent of the time the service was fast and the food was usually good. But not anymore. What a shitty way of telling someone you don't want them as a customer. If I knew of a way to contact the management of the franchise I would have done that instead of leaving this review. Stay away from this location, or matter of fact boycott the whole franchise. There are other fast food places with better food and at least those employees won't treat you like shit for wanting to park in their parking lot for 10 minutes on the off chance you got to where you were going a little earlier than...
