Old Town Tavern — Restaurant in Violet Township

It's a half cool place at best... However, they kicked a veteran out(me), on 9/11, because some young punk(25ish) thought I drank his beer and wouldn't accept 2 in return... When we couldn't come to terms(simple), he told the bartender I was harassing him, at which point the bouncers escorted me out, so I waited fir him to teach him a lesson about respect and such. Although I was already outside the bar, the bouncers made me (didn't want to fight both of them and the young punk), leave the property... Mind you, I was probably not drunk at all but the punk was wasted! Nonetheless, I finally left and, while I informed them I was a veteran, and they could clearly see I was lucid vs the drunk punk, they dismissed me with the following statement: "see ya douch bag"... on 9/11. Moral of the story? If you are over 30, and Support America/freedom, stay far away from this...

Wholesome Homemade Eats, Cold Beer, & Good Folks. This small tavern has been around for awhile. The owners take their time to have daily special lunches which are usually made in house and delicious, along with a general American Tavern selection of food. Beer & Spirits: they’ve almost any traditional domestic beer on tap, and some seasonal selections. Spirits they’ve got an assortment. Multiple TV’s for watching sports. Pool table and a few other games. Wooden bar and seating truly gives the Old Town Tavern its feel and name. But the best part of this tavern is it’s people. The owners are down to earth, the bartenders are kind and respectful, and it’s a good wholesome place to fill your belly...

The bar tender that was bar tending today 9/4 /21 @ approximately 4pm was absolutely c word. She totaly new I was standing at the bar trying. to place a order .I waved my money at her and ask politely and then I raised my voice she definitely had to hear and see me but totally ignored me and it was obvious she was doing it on purpose. Don't know what her problem is but She shouldn't be bar tending if she is going treat customers like this . I think she thinks she some kind of hottie but she is ugly in my opinion. Never will try this place again . My wife and I can spend our money where they attend to...
