615 Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

We used to be regulars at this place, but after our latest visit, we’re reconsidering. When we walked in, the music playing felt out of place, and for lack of a better term, it was all "white people music." Feeling uncomfortable, we decided to switch things up by playing some music from artists of different backgrounds on the jukebox. To our surprise, the bartender immediately turned the volume down to an almost inaudible level, claiming it was “too loud.” When we asked for our money back, things quickly took a turn for the worse. The bartender threatened to call the cops, and soon enough, a few patrons joined in, making the situation even more hostile. It was frustrating, as a public jukebox should be for everyone, not just catering to one group’s preferences. This experience definitely has us questioning where we spend our money. It seems like the 615 only caters to one specific crowd, not others.

my friend is currently disabled and we were just kicked out of the establishment for sitting and enjoying the band. they have very few booths, in which she needed to be able to sit comfortably. the only booth they had free was apparently for the band. so because we were not buying a drink just yet, as we were also waiting for someone. they asked us to leave. so awful service (one of the waitresses were rude, rolled her eyes at us and when I was outside for a smoke, she came walking out saying that place stinks and it smells like moth balls because there was older patrons in there). awful place. won’t be going back. btw I’d like to add it’s against the law to discriminate against a disability. so take that with...
