First Watch — Restaurant in Virginia Beach

We got in line with their website and arrived within 10 minutes. Their waiting area is an absolute dumpster fire as it's the entrance door, host stand, cashier and coffee area rolled into one very small area. There are people waiting to be checked in meshing with people waiting to pay (you can now pay through your phone, there is a QR code on the receipt) all while blocking other families already sitting down at tables. It's a mess. The dining area seemed clean and the staff were quick to buss tables for more guests. The tables are pushed way too close together as a way to hold more guests in the space which makes it uncomfortable.

I ordered the morning market veggie omelette and it arrived with zucchini burnt. Had the manager come out and feed me some line about how it is like that as they are "roasted" I couldn't believe it, its one of five things I ever order here and they are coming to feed me a line. I know "roasted" doesn't mean absolutely charred in each bite. They made me a new omelette but we had already waited so long that I had to take it to go.

My husband had the chikichanga and that's always a hit, he enjoyed his food. Our son ordered the kids grilled cheese and fruit and they were able to accommodate our request for all grapes instead of the medley. He didn't enjoy the taste of his grilled cheese and ended up eating half. The bread just seemed to be too thick . The sourdough bread used for the kids grilled cheese didn't seem to be a great choice. Our waitress was friendly and did her best to accommodate us on a busy day.

Overall we probably won't be returning with kids or at this...

I was so excited to hear that First Watch was coming into town! I had it booked marked for when I went back to Texas to visit my boyfriend, but look at thiiis, I don't have to wait anymore.

Came here on a Saturday "noon"ish time frame. When we got here, whew, a line. They said it was about a 25-30 minute wait. We gave the host my phone number and they sent a text with a link to another yelp account so that you could see your spot in line. That was so cool, however I wish that the link worked with this .. web address.

We ended up waiting for a little longer than expected but we were excited when it was time. Our waitress Angel was so sweet. She took great care of us.

Welcome to Virginia Beach, First Watch. After a hard workout, this was perfect. First Watch helps provide healthy options for those who are trying to make a change. What I got was part of their "Harvest The Season" menu. The Truffled Wild Mushroom Frittata is a classic frittata that comes with truffle-roasted shititake and Crimini mushrooms, shallots, and garlic & herb cream cheese topped with lemon dressed arugula. It's served with fresh fruit and ciabatta toast.

My mom got something she liked plus the Pumpkin Pancakes that she ordered from the Harvest The Season menu. She was very happy about those and don't want them to go away.

The worst part about my experience at First Watch was the wait, however it's very common because 1) this place is new 2) we went on the weekend!
