Ah, Froggies. The very name conjures images of amphibious delights, perhaps a delicate terrine or a sautéed leg with a nuanced garlic butter. Instead, what these grainy images reveal is a culinary tableau of profound disappointment. In the first frame, slabs of what I can only assume is meant to be brisket lie forlornly beside a pallid mass of macaroni and cheese, a dish that appears to have surrendered all pretense of flavor. The accompanying square of cornbread looks equally uninspired, its texture undoubtedly as dry and lifeless as the hopes of anyone who ordered this plate. The second photograph offers no respite from this gastronomic misery. A heap of shredded, indeterminate meat – likely the "pulled pork" advertised with such misplaced enthusiasm – languishes next to a pile of what appears to be fried okra, each piece a testament to the triumph of grease over any discernible vegetable essence. The same desolate square of cornbread makes a reappearance, a silent witness to the overall lack of ambition and execution on display. If this is the standard fare at Froggies, then the only leaping one will be doing is to the nearest establishment offering a modicum of culinary decency. My palate weeps.

Thursday Night is Prime Rib night. we sailed in around 5:30.........Mushroom app + steakbites, some red vino and white. we decided on prime rib x 2, pulled pork plate and smoked chicken......dessert was rum cake. we did not know that this thursday night lewis mcgee was playing live........we had a great time and great food all around, see us back again soon. Back again april 20th for Prime once more. chris got 1/2 rack if ribs, i got the prime, but it was super thin, so thin the server had them add one more slice which made it about the same thickness as the first time, it was outstanding, but was even more outstanding was the second app. we ordered, first was fried mushrooms and we see fried catfish bites...O M G. These rate within the top 5 BEST FRIED FISH i have ever had, big serving, fried perfect, nice chunking pieces........my next dinner will be 2 orders of these ........red wine also........rum cake and coffee. remember, thursday night is Prime Rib special and half price wine by the bottle.................see you soon

Ok so this was a first. I was there 4 weeks ago I’ve made a couple of attempts to contact the owners I spoke with the manager on duty Amy today about the incident. Which was I ordered ribs and the ribs were rotten meat I called the little young waitress over with black hair and asked her to smell the meat so I was not losing my mind or think I was going nuts She dropped her jaw and literally said to me I don’t know what to say I am so sorry I just want to tell you guys the fish was amazing but this definitely ruined my meal I still paid the tab which was $76 and I also gave a $13 tip for the waitress because I was there because my Girlfriends dog doesn’t have much time with us so that’s why we were at the beach so our dog could see it for the first time I just want to say please step up the game and really paid teaching what goes out to customers. Thanks Ace

Went 2nd time - service was STILL BAD - the women waitresses completely ignored us, and then forgot 2 out of the 3 items we ordered - had to grab her 3 times just to get our 3 items. LAME. Why doesn't mgmt care & train these people?

1st time was the smallest food portions & drink sizes I have ever seen in my life (drinks served in JUICE glasses), inflexible, & not great service both times we went. Too bad as the food is pretty good & the bands are great.

My friends & I leave 20/30/40+ percent tips sometimes when people are amazing, kind, friendly, & have fun with us. While serving both men & women, be smart - money is money & it doesn't cost you anything to go out of your way.

I've been here 2x: Once for takeout---SMALL fries portion: It was super slow in there, and no matter how kind I was, the bartender who took my order was short with me. Why? The wings & fries were good, but the fries I got were the smallest portion I think I've ever seen from any restaurant in my life. I think I got maybe 10 fries...lol. What do fries cost, a few cents? No matter what any barge shipments are, all other restaurants in the area give normal fry portions. Once for dinner & music:

  • It wasn't that busy yet & we sat down & no one came up to us for ~10 mins. One waitress walked by us & we politely said "excuse me" to get some menus---she def heard us---but chose to just completely ignore us... Great 'tude.
  • Ordered a simple drink that every bar has & the waitress was completely perplexed, so made it as easy as I could (literally booze & juice) - it came back in the SMALLEST glass I think I have ever seen in my life - a juice glass, lol. Nothing like paying good money for a few sips. Sorry, but that is cheap with a cap "C."
  • Ordered a 2nd drink in a taller glass & she made it so incredibly difficult, but I guess it was considered a large or double or something? I usually NEVER get a 2nd drink, but wanted something to have to listen to the band as we'd be there a while - I don't think there was any alcohol in it at all. I'm a total light-weight, and a "double" would normally have affected me SOME. Nope, nada. Nothing like spending my hard-earned (and I DO MEAN hard-earned) money on some juice. I felt jipped :(.
  • We asked for jalapenos on our side dish. The waitress was shocked & had never heard of this in her life I guess, & it made us feel bad & uncomfortable again. It was strictly explained to us that we'd have to pay for anything else we added to our meal, which we were happy to do, but seriously? Y'all charging us for 1 sliced-up pepper that cost you a few cents? K...
  • The food is pretty good, & we liked it.
  • The band was good.

There are way more other places in the area for people to get food & drinks, so not bothering this place again unless going to see a band only - don't like putting folks out and all. I'd happy pay a few extra dollars to see the band and just get a normal drink and food portions vs spending triple what I would normally pay for tiny portions. Sorry, but...

Stingy with portions & drink sizes, inflexible, & terrible service both times I went. They're super chintzy with some of the food & drink portions - can you be any more cheap with your customers?

Also, for the female waitresses/servers who aren't as nice to women as they are to men - just an FYI that me & my female friends leave 20/30/40+ percent tips sometimes when people are amazing, kind, friendly, & have fun with us. Be smart - money is money & it doesn't cost you anything to go out of your way. Do better.

I've been here 2x: Once for takeout---SMALL fries portion: It was super slow in there, and no matter how kind I was, the older bartender/lady with long brown hair who took my order was incredibly short with me. Why? The wings & fries were good, but the fries I got were the smallest portion I think I've ever seen from any restaurant in my life. I think I got maybe 10 fries...lol. What do fries cost, a few cents? Get with it. Once for dinner & music:

One waitress with curly hair walked by us & we politely said "excuse me" to get some menus---she def heard us---but chose to just completely ignore us...rude. I guess it wasn't her table, so no way was she going to even go out of her way to stop & say she'd get someone... Great 'tude. See how this works in the world for you anywhere else.
  • Ordered a simple drink that every bar has & the waitress was completely perplexed, so made it as easy as I could (literally booze & juice) - it came back in the SMALLEST glass I think I have ever seen in my life...lol. This place was the worst, not just the service but also the food sucked. Went with a group of friends at 5pm on Sat night. The place was empty but the bar was full with the people only drinking. The waitress and got my drink order right away but when my friends arrived, she was no show. She finally got my friends' drink orders and brought our drinks out but didn't bother to ask us, if we wanted to order anything and walked away. I had to yell out to get her attention to order an appetizer. Yes, 3 jalapeño poppers for $8. At least it was hot and delicious. I ordered the brisket platter with a side of deep fried okra. Our food didn't come out, till after an hour we got there, since the waitress barely got our orders till around 545pm. By this time, the most of the people left from the bar and there was only one other table with 2 people sitting!! The food finally came out but my brisket was cold, not warm but cold, like they forgot to warm it up. The worst part was that she didn't give the correct change back. My tap was $47.65 so I gave her one $50 and one $10 bills, hoping that she will break my $10 for her tip. I didn't realize till I was driving home that she only gave me $8 back and I gave her that $8 for her tip. She actually got $13 tip for $47.65 tap, for the slowest service and cold brisket that I brought home and heat it up to eat!! Never going back!! Yes, it was my fault not to check the change but none of my friends liked their food. Our orders were, Cuban sandwich, tuna tacos, rueben, BBQ chicken and chicken wrap. If anything was good, it came out of the fryer. I couldn't eat my brisket without the sauce, even after I heated it up, when...
