The new designed and built Lesner Bridge has lots of nice features now. It has all new paved a lot there's been clearing for better views. They have also installed a deck that you can walk up and over the Dan to get under and through the bridge to be onthe Bayside where it flows in to the Lynnhaven river. This place is rimming with birds and seafood fish etc. however it was 27° windchill the morning I went for the sunrise which it has amazing sun rise views There is paid parking and can use it late at night I have used it personally till at least 11 PM there is also a boatlift with Trailer/vehicle parking. The park and boatlift area can be entered from the west side in the eastbound lanes of shore Drive it is the last right before you go over the bridge heading that direction. When you turn there, the building on the location of the old Jimmy's sub shop there is a brewery/restaurant because let's face it we're tired and we're hungry when we come in from boating or being at the beach! It's fun at night too because they have it all lit up it's all redone and there's a wooden walk...

Beautiful! Gorgeous! Even post hurricane Dorian it was still nice out. If your looking for a beach that offers shade and sun this is definitely the best place! Being under the bridge gives you shade, and couple steps you'll have your sun

One of the most beautiful spots in Virginia Beach. Where the duck meets chicks Beach.. all of the north west everything comes to this point. The mouth of the Chesapeake Bay. The mouth of the lynnhaven inlet the last River to flow into the Chesapeake Bay before the Atlantic ocean. This is one of very few spots where you can both see the sunrise and the sunset over water on the East coast from the mainland in the same position. Truly remarkable. Enjoy nature, enjoy our world, and...

Being under the bridge gives you shade, and couple steps you'll have your sun <3. The beach/pier access was clear, lots of people were out fishing and enjoying the waves. The bathrooms were clean and stocked! Which we all know when it comes beach bathrooms can be a toss up. The outside showers are nice! With handicap parking right there! Parking in general does have a fee but its honestly inexpensive, as opposed to other areas. *beach has lots of seagrass, because we went the day after Dorian came through*

I had fun under the bridge. I had to be convinced to go, as I’m kinda a hermit these days. But I’m glad I went. Being next to the water is very grounding. I saw a huge great blue heron. He had some duck friends with him and was getting very irritated w them, as the ducks were interfering with his fishing. They would start quacking in excitement as soon as they got near the Heron. They were following him. There is public, metered parking. From 7am - 12am.
