UPDATE. UPDATE. UPDATE.
06/30/2022...I am giving 2 stars, because of the $8.00 coupon for the small burger combo.
I received an email with a coupon for $8.00 for a 1/3 pound burger, fries, and a 20 oz. soda, (the combo meal). The cashier really pushed for me to add cheese and or bacon to the burger, but for $1.25 each for one slice of cheese (is way too expensive), and I did not want to invest more, into the meal, unless I could see an improvement in the burger.
The only reason, I took advantage of this coupon, was that the normal price of this combo, would have been $10.98 + tax. (Saving me about $3.00.
The combo meal, was just OK.
I had asked for my burger to be cooked medium, and it was served well done, with no juices, coming out of the burger. I really feel that this burger was a previously frozen burger, and not a "fresh" ground burger, as advertised. Also the bun ratio was off, the burger was way smaller, than the bun, and only a very small amount of sesame seeds on the bun. The fries, were seasoned well, but not hot, by the time, I "dressed" my burger and got to the table, they were cold. And, Coke, is ok, but we really prefer Pepsi products.
Also, they need to add a ketchup/mayo (or thousand island dressing), to their condiment selections. Also, they had no pickle relish available, (that is odd), becaue they do sell hot dogs as an entrƩe menu item.
I also saw, that they had outside tables (with firepits, built into them)...This restaurant has so "MUCH POTENTIAL" I could really see a family or a small group of good friends, eating here, if it were more affordable and a better quality of meals served.
ON A PLUS SIDE...They now have a "sneeze guard" around the fresh vegetable toppings.
Who ever heard of needing RESERVATIONS for a fast food hamburger joint ???
UPDATE:
It is now April 2022, and we are trying this restaurant again. The burgers are ok, but we would like to see some more specialty burgers, such as a Hawaiian burger, with grilled pineapple. We would also like to see a specialty basket of fries, like a mixture of home fries, crinkle cut fries, sweet potato fries, curly fries (also endless fries, would be a pleasant surprise). We also personally prefer Pepsi products. But the shakes are good, even if a little expensive, but we usually get 2 shakes to share for dessert, (for a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids).
We really have high hopes for this restaurant, because it is in our neighborhood.
Also, would like to thank-you for your increased hours of operation. Now open 11:00am until 9:00pm Tuesday's thru Sundays. We really also hope they consider adding Mondays, because Mondays are always so hard, for us and we and the kids would welcome a great burger location to go to on Monday nights.
Also, would like to add that the staff is great, and the restaurant is very clean.
Thanks
The Fuddruckers website, advertises a Kids Special for $1.99 from 4pm until close on Monday nights, HOWEVER, this location is CLOSED ON...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was our first experience with Fuddruckers. We totally didn't know how this system worked. I don't think the cashier understood how novel the experience was to us, but she did allow us plenty of time to get acquainted with the visuals and make our selections. If you haven't visited one before, it's like a blend of fast food, buffet and wait staff. When you round the corner, instead of being seated, you place your order at the counter, then you seat yourself. When you order, if you want a shake, which is delicious š, then do the upgrade combining it with your food order. It's half price and the Vanilla was a yummy choice. The cashier gives you a number sign to set on your table for shake delivery. The cashier also provides a buzzer which lights up and buzzes when the order is ready. If you like the typical condiments like pickles, sauces, tomatoes and lettuce, all of those are at a bar and you add them once you pick up your order. Also, music was playing loudly in the entrance area where you wait in line to place your order, however the music volume is great in the restaurant seating area. It's a good family friendly atmosphere, but come with quarters and dollar bills. A number of game options are available to play and each is one dollar. Two ceiling TV mini versions of "jumbotrons" played a variety of sports events. Also, covered picnic tables stand ready to greet spring like weather outside on astroturf. If you want to try a meat other than beef, they offer exotics such as elk, bison, and ostrich. If you don't want the grilled bun, you can order gluten free bun or lettuce instead of a bun! Of course, chicken options, 4 salads, and children's meals are available and reasonably priced. I enjoyed my shake and fresh juicy burger. Others loved the choices, but thought the meat needed more seasoning. The meat was prepared exactly as ordered and the meal was filled correctly! Mr. Hospitality Frederick took care of the entire service area and did it with joy and kindness. He's a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'll start with: the burgers really are great. I personally think the fries are too heavily seasoned, and the onion rings are pretty good.
Both times I've been there, at least one of the orders was wrong.
The first time I went, we got the food, ate, asked the floor manager for boxes, and left.
Now they have waiters/ waitresses. From my first time there, this is not something I expected, though apparently it's a Fuddruckers thing. Nor did I expect a long explanation of the difference between a waiter/ waitress. And that they work on tips.
Now, you still walk up to the window to get your own food. You still initially get your drinks yourself. But they will get refills for you, bring a box for leftovers, and bus the table.
The whole concept would be a bit better if they allowed you to tip from your card, but you post when you order. That makes me think they get at least the regular minimum wage, and tips are just a bonus.
If it sounds like the idea bothers me, it's because it does. The first time I was there, it was a great mix of a fast food and sit down restaurant. Now they've added an extra step, that makes the whole experience more clunky.
For example, there were 2 people working the floor, and there were some open tables, so not super busy. We asked our waiter for a box, and proceeded to watch him work with a few other tables, including giving the opening spiel, before getting the box. Then he posed by us no fewer than 3 times with the box in his hand. It was rather frustrating.
I'm willing to say that it may just be growing pains of the restaurant, but I guess that remains to be seen.
If you've never been, give it a try. The burgers really are very good. Hopefully your experience will be...
